With so many going on, each one is less exciting. I enjoyed them more when they felt like a big deal.
I'm also not thrilled with the casting at this one. TB, in particular, offers no good insight into the game. If he isn't going to give good insight, he should at least provide the color that he used to. Everything about this seems dull.
Well last year we had 6 MLGs which all were convention center events. This year we have 4 of those and then 5 arenas. This MLG probably just seems like less of a big deal because of who isnt in attendance.

Tournament oversaturation in general, watching these pro player isn't special or interesting anymore because they travel or play so much they have less time to practice or develop new builds or refine strats

taeja vs. Crank is being streamed here:

The casting is in French though (by Pomf & Thud, the guys behind Iron Squid for those who don't know).

I'd rather see a round-robin BO5's with no need for 2x elim I would argue DreamHack has a worse Day 1. Yeah, but dreamhack makes up for it with free 720p and great production MLG's production is superior to DreamHack's, with the exception of the last few hours of the tournament. I totally disagree, at one point MLG was the shittiest tournament to ever be organized on the face of the planet and crappy production was the main cause for it
Idd. The casters audio input sounds like it's done with 5$ mics, the background consists of aluminium elements with 2 cheap displays (being used to display sponsor logos only) and i just can't grab the feeling of a live event like i would with the GD Studio doing live interviews etc. around the venue like in Dreamhack or ASUS ROG. It's just a huge ass-tournament with several hundred players and we're missing most of it.
MLG had some pretty good production going on with their arenas, but somehow these "main events" feel sub-par in every way imaginable -.-

MLG might aswell be honest and make ik pay per view again. They are crapping all over e-sports like this. Amen dude, so retarded
Funny thing about that is last time I bought premium thinking they would have all the superstars on premium, but they ended up putting most of their games on free stream. Felt like a waste of money at the time; I hope they dont do it the opposite this time around =\

Is there an helicopter commentating Alicia vs Leenock?

Wow, tough break for Grubby.
He gets Heart / TheSTC added to his group. Strongest players from the open bracket.

WCS bronze placement.
And you can do better?

Yeah, I'm sure he wouldn't care at all whether or not he had an extra $25,000.

It's actually OGS_Illusion who's new name is Icecream. he isn't completely random. He's still a korean terran.
Yes MLG wants people to pay, but we do get to see good games, and group play, and the finals free. Be happy, about that. What would you like that the 2 streams be different. Sure, but they still want people to pay so they keep a few good match-ups hidden to convince people to pay.

Some of the most rigged open brackets ever. No Koreans in some and multiples in others lol.

omgawdssssssss an american tournament showing exposure to american players omgawddddddddddddddd
|
I dont know why they arent putting different games on the main stream, all these great games on premium
edit Im fine with idra games, i just dont think it should be shown on both streams

They usually have great players attending though, which kind of makes up for the rest. have you ever watched a PPV MLG arena? the quality of those is worlds above Dreamhack or any other tourny. MLG is the trend setter for production quality
well dont you think MLG should have way better production because you need to pay for it? Oh and btw Dreamhack Stockholm blew MLG away on all levels.

The only reason I watch is for Idra and I haven't watched MLG since last year so they are smart.
