I'll be adding a survival guide sticky about Campus Party Day 2 up on /r/starcraft tomorrow.

(not sure what we'll do when MLG starts, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it - might end up alternating because I'm not sure there'll be much overlap due to the time zones with this being in EU and MLG being in NA)

A lot of things went wrong with this one

Strong players, great prizepool, good caster. I watched the stream a bit and there was 200 people on the stream. Kaelaris did a good job still, but i felt bad for him. I think the reason was that this tournament is held in a convention / lan party / something, i don't even know what, and sc2 tournament is just a small part of it. Nobody knew who's job it was to promote it and so no one did.

Btw. even this thread was originally called "College Party EU" or something. I wasn't sure if it was intentional or not. Let's hope it does better from now on. And gogo Naama!

I don't think many people will even open this thread because "Campus Party EU" isnt't really interesting title and gives the complete wrong idea of what this is. Could you add something like "25k$ prize pool" to it?

edit: and of course i don't mean it's OP's fault or him doing something wrong.

Issues aside from any tournament I participate in, I will always give my best in a cast, no matter what the circumstances.

After being at the venue and seeing how things have been organised, there are tonnes of things that the organisers could have done better without spending a single euro, nevermind things that would only take minimal cost. I'm going to try and compile a list once we're done with the event in order to try and help them out for future events (Technically speaking, ive never planned an event myself but i've helped out with stuff at ESL

)

Regardless, ignoring all production quibbles and downtime - That shouldn't detract from the fact that we're going to have some really good games and I hope people will tune in and bare a little of the "rough around the edges" feel. Think of it as a weekly tournament production but with a $25,000 prize pool

Thank you Tree.Hugger for making this post and thank you to anyone who is enjoying the games. I will keep thinking of it as if it were any other big tournament and cast my heart out <3

I should add that, the majority of admining etc is being done by "Game Freaks 4U" over here in Berlin and their team is doing a good job trying to salvage what they can.

25000 dollar prizepool, and almost no one knows about this. Please let's not make the same mistake as the GESL (GIGABYTE ESPORTS LAN) tournament.

Can you try to give us the results of last day in the thread Kaelaris ? So that we can updae liquipedia. Because I know ForGG went 3-0 (someone checked his results on Mill) but I don't know the other results.

i definitely agree

a lot of more people would realize how huge the tournament is. starting in 1 hour, hope it's gonna be good.

can't be worse than WCS (given the matchups).
