As usual, don't player bash, don't flame, and don't balance whine. Failure to heed this warning will have consequences. |

Was this sarcasm? SC2 esports has never been bigger, and the viewer base is going to explode after HOTS is released, of course in between expansions viewership will go down. And this is IEM lol, not the highest priority for a sc2 fan. Especially a ZvZ yeah ofc after hots sc2 will gain again many many viewers, but right now , it is not the same viewerbase as last year, i remeber mlg goin 1000 pages, tsl gettin 60-70 k viewers since ro 32, etc etc I think getting 30k for an IEM ZvZ is amazing in itself, especially considering the really awkward time for NA. If you really want to judge the state of starcraft, always look at the crowd. This crowd is fucking huge(if you've seen the panorama on reddit), and its fucking passionate. To come all the way for an IEM in a ZvZ between (only) nerchio and violet is amazing. I won't be suprised if we reach 40-50k during the MVP match, and even 60k if MVP makes it to the finals. For TSL, keep in mind that THAT was the BIGGEST TOURNAMENT of its kind back then. Yeah there was GSL/MLG, but they weren't of the real same "prestige" that TSL had. It was the first TSL that 90% of the new wave of teamliquiders had a chance to expiriencee.... I am so happy with the state of esports, and HOTS is going to do so much for the game I think it'll be bigger than we can even imagine today. i would imagine over 60K for an mvp finals because lol will be over by then(they are in grand finals now), and it will be a t a much better time -edit- although not 175k like LoL is
Definitely not 175k. The thing with LoL is that its free to play, and that attracts a much wider audience than any paid retail version. Especially with it being such a "hot" thing lately ^^.
I'm a big believer of quality over quanity, and I think the passion and depth of Starcraft (in my opinion) overshadows LoL, despite viewer numbers. The fact to me that Starcraft can even match half the viewers of LoL sometimes is a testament to my view, but obviously I fully respect LoL and understand its a skill-intensive game.

Go violet!
Just wondering, would you guys be more excited for a MVP-Violet, or an MVP-Nerchio match? I just want Mvp to absolutely annihilate whoever he plays.

I think it would be the greatest troll in the world if Starcraft 2 actually WASN'T big, and MLG made up all of its post-release viewership numbers.
If MLG actually only got like 500 viewers I would die laughing content.

Come on Nerchio, fearing a 100% korean finals (yeah, let the raging commence) if Violet wins as I can't see MVP losing.

I wonder, in such a late game ZvZ situation, if you scout a greater spire and you yourself have a greater spire, wouldn't it be a good idea NOT to make bl, just corruptors?

Huh, what a refreshingly positive and polite stance towards LoL. We need more people like you around here :p
