actually this is the most amount of viewers IEM events have generated to date for sc2. Yesterday MVP match attracted 50k, which is almost 2x as much as their usual viewership on the dozens of IEM hosted for over the last 1-2 years. Its just that sc2 has a buttload of tourneys that people are spread too thin. Its not until big events like MLG, GSL and dreamhack, and IPL live when people starts gathering to watch. Even then, there are still many of those events. | ||

What? Was this sarcasm? SC2 esports has never been bigger, and the viewer base is going to explode after HOTS is released, of course in between expansions viewership will go down.And this is IEM lol, not the highest priority for a sc2 fan. Especially a ZvZ | ||

no it wasn't what i wanted to mean but starcraft 2 isn't alone in esport (according to the surprise of the number of viewers for some people on a league of legend stream for exemple) | ||

IEM has had shitty numbers for as long as I can remember, hsc5 peaked at 70k and the DH where thorzain won got like 75k | ||
