As usual, don't player bash, don't flame, and don't balance whine. Failure to heed this warning will have consequences.

Which is a shame. They should seriously look into getting another writer when their prediction guy consistently picks against THE BEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME when he is up against noname foreigner zergs.

Edit: Like, he actually wrote this....

With Nestea showing his mortality in the group stages, how afraid should the legend Mvp be of getting eliminated in the Ro8? Most people would look at the names Slivko and SortOf and say that Mvp will certainly make it into the Ro4 at least. But personally, I think the Ro8 is the real test for Mvp, while the Ro4 is the reward that comes after. While all of Mvp's match-ups have suffered some deterioration since his peak, TvT is the match-up where we see the most glimpses of his old brilliance. He'll probably face fOrGG or SuperNoVa, both players he should be able to crush.

His actual style in TvZ hasn't changed much, as he trudges along with a weighty turtle style, but you get the feeling he's held back by his inability to create chaos with drops, or use micro to threaten with mid-game pushes the way other players can.

Good games at IEM overal. And since Nerchio is a semi pro i dont get the MVP hype really. Frogg, MC, Violet... impressive run!

WEll Nerchio played Great but he is Zerg after all, which permitted him to go far in the tournament!

Great series! Wish it was bo7 (or more)

User was warned for this post

If u think its so easy to beat MC, Violet, Forgg, Inori then show us. You only need to play zerg and a little training. Oh wait I forgot you are just a whiner who doesnt even play in master league I suppose. So then insted of blaming zerg try to improve macro noob.

U guys dont know how much Nerchio and Vortix achieved in this tournament. They faced one of the best koreans in the world and they did a good job beating some of them. They both lost to IMMVP who arrived with coach, team which can analyse his opponents etc. If u think its easy because of race then show me Idra, Sheth and others do same thing... own Koreans. OH WAIT they cant because unfortunately picking Zerg is bad strategy. U need a lot of skill too Sorry.

It's ok to pick against MVP because he was showing signs of slumping, but now we know is back on track..

with very good form on all matchups!

MVP just got that amazing way of throwing his stuff at his enemy in situations where he seems so lost, pushed near to the brink of death he still manages 2-3 drops and run-by:s at the same time to buy enough time to recover and push back the enemy. In some games I just felt, "man, MVP is screwed now" and he just shrugs it off and turns the tide... Inspiring, just too bad there was no Protoss in the semis, it got kind of "old" seeing a lot of brood-lords pushes...

People have been picking against Mvp all of 2012. I love how he can still prove so many people wrong and rise to the occasion despite his crappy wrists. To be fair he has "only" won a GSL and this IEM, which is a serious slump when you compare it to his 2011.

Of course Mvp's slump is every other progamer's dream lol

Straight up, Its amazing watching this guy with terrible wrists just run over these zergs with pure machanics. Mvp is like, "hey you wanna death push me? First lets see if you can even keep up." He made Nerchio look like a scrub, dude was completely lost on how to defend his bases. Thats how the game should be, with the better player winning.

Of course MVP's performance will always be a slump compared to his 2011 showing... So really his 2012 "slump", is everyone's rising moments.

็ำHey Wax, when you will write recap about this IEM? I can't wait for it. It's also funny that Mvp's slump = winning GSL and IEM. Something that most of pros have been trying so hard to achieve but never be able to come close to it. That tells something about Mvp.

I think everyone kind of focused on his HSC showing. It was pretty obvious he was not feeling well (I think he actually went to the hospital after his matches). I think players like MVP, MC, Nestea has set such high standards that every time they don't win or get far in a tournament, they are 'penalized' much more than other players.

Hey man, even MVP needs something to wipe his butt with... other than the faces of lesser players, of course

Was really happy to see Nerchio and Vortix do so well. And very sad to see SangHo fall in the qualifiers

Well, it is pretty obvious that Nestea struggles with travelling (due to him being older). And his late game is pretty poor (especially vT). But he still made GSL Ro8, OSL Ro16. Is he the Nestea from 2011? Of course not. But I will still rate him as one of the top 10 zergs in the world.
