yea, it doesn't mean much yet, but in a few months all will be laughing at ignoring the mentality and potential of kespa players
jaedong and effort, my two favorite zergs besides savior... broodwar hwaiting! I don't think anyone ever denied that some Kespa players would end up being as good as the GOM players. The theory of the elephant was they would be head and shoulders above the top GSL code S players in a very limited time.
Nah, the 'theory' was that they would dominate JUST like MC, MVP, and Nestea.
We'll find out in a few GSL seasons.

Glad to see Kespa players quickly becoming competitive! It's always exciting when you see a strong player burst onto the scene, except now we're seeing a massive group of them do so. Things are gonna get really epic now. That said, still feel so sad for DRG, hopefully this slump won't last too much longer... >_<

real happy to see dong + effort.. great job.

I love both BW and SC2. But it really hurts the soul to see things like "lololol who the fuck is jaedong" and "lolol kill this effort scrub"

theory was that sc2 is so easy, if top300 broodwar pros and SEMI-pros switched they would put sc2 guys to shame.

what actually happened is now history, and sc2 fans shouldn't be like bw elitists and rub it in. let's move on and enjoy new stuff that kespa guys will force with their fresh outlook on the game. starcraft fighting!

No, DRG definitely didn't play poorly. The first and second games were both won by some standard ZvZ superior (luckier?) decision-making; the decisive match, however, was exclusively skill-related. DRG would have won against a great deal of excellent players in that third game but he got plainly outplayed (and out-mechanic-ed, which is even more puzzling and amazing) by EffOrt. Was very impressive.

i agree with this.
i know DRG is now officially slumping real hard, but it's no excuse what so ever. effort looked liked another level of player, and none of the games was some stupid build order disadvantage. in fact, g2 which DRG won was build order lucky for him. last game was really great example of what i'm trying to say and you should watch it if you can, highly recommended.

I don't consider CJ Hero to be a kespa player. With his bw record, he's not more kespa than nestea or mvp .

He was in a kespa team for 3-4 years and both Zergbong and Mvp were kespa players. I don't really get your point.

The point is that Hero was not better in BW than Nestea or MVP. So I think the word is 'elephant' instead of 'kespa'.

It was very good to see some KeSPA players doing well, I hope they can continue this, but I think that most of them will be out in the next round, JD will lose to Genius (based on Korean ZvP in general, and his overall "fright" over protoss players, I also think that Genius is pretty decent at ZvP 53%) Also Squirtle is going to crush Roro (63%) I have not seen many KeSPA players really do well outside of mirrors vs Code S opponents. (Soulkey honorable mention).I think that if effort can make it past Gumiho than it will really be a real test. (reason why I didnt post KeSPA % is because they are still a much smaller sample size, like sub-10)

Or Jaedong wins vs Genius and Roro beating Squirtle.
I kind prefer that arrangement much better.

Wow, these Kespa players made the GSL players look like foreigners. I guess it's true that the elephants have arrived.
