Well, what I've seen so far is a guy playing around with a game. JD plays extreamly strong, but a little bit lacking. His play is not refined yet as it was in broodwar, but, hell, he's good.

Ouch.
Don't ever compare JD to Justin Beiber. That'll get you prison shanked on these forums.

how is it wrong? just saying something is wrong or telling someone to go away isn't exactly convincing

Well to be frank Jaedong is not the best Kespa player, Reality, Jangbi, Baby gave me a better impression. Seems like JD have problems with drone timings and tech. And a decision making. You can still feel his mindset is still favoring BW a little.

I guess even if JaeDong didn't win, it's encouraging for him and Kespa players. They need to work harder, adjust things and the real competition may begin.
Sc2 is on the right way

Isn't that how it works for everybody vs anybody ever? I has a chance vs Taeja, if I played terran. And was far far far far better.

In mid-to-late game, KeSPA and GSL players are almost the same level. Hmm I don't really see how that works, considering that early game is where they would have the most practice as every game you play the early game. I think late game would favour GSL players a lot more not because they would necessarily have better multitasking, but they would know what to do with their multitasking, and what to potentially expect from their opponents.
Clide was making a point about many different builds that exist in SC2, compared to BW.

How about "no, give them a few months and they'll be at the same level"?

Man, if he had better engagements in game 1, ( alot of a moving his lings, getting them stuck between minerals and such) he could have kicked some ass!

I'll do that... but I don't think it'll be the no's that rise... Just my opinion of course.

I think JD just plays SC2 a little too much like it's BW with his building pathing and hyper-aggression. Still, I think he has the mechanics to be hyper-aggressive, he just needs more experience.

It was the only thing he could have gone with the time given, after that fuck up against the marines in the start, and roach bane ling is pretty good against MMM, if your banes connect, which they didnt do, so stfu plox. [/QUOTE]
Roach/ling/bane is probably the worst of the "standard" zerg vs terran unit compositions to use against pure mmm.
no clue how this quote broke. weird.

To be fair, GSL players didn't all have access to the training houses, weren't all the most talented RTS players on the planet, (or if they were really talented, were fairly old and past their prime (aka July, Boxer, NaDa), many didn't have access to years of training in starcraft full time, and most of all, had to develop their own strategies and figure stuff out, while the KeSPA players come into a far more mature metagame with builds ripe for the stealing.
I think generally build stealing is a terrible way to train because as soon as something cause unaccording to plan everything falls apart.
