JD could potentially take down SC if he plays like he did in Game 1 against Alive, but far far better.

Hmm no offense, I mean I know (anecdotal evidence) that JD is not only boss, but one of the greatest BW players ever, but whilst he looked ok the game before (it was one of those games where Alive looked amazing, but you wonder if that is due to his amazing multitasking or poor defending of it), this game is just..not..it certainly has looked good so far. But then, everyone has bad games from time to time. I just hope people stop comparing Kespa and Gom...please..

He plays the game for three months.

Fun games. Miya is gonna get murdered by Curious in the second round. JD still has a chance but, really, he's way better than he was before but I don't see him beating MvPsC.

game 1 alive vs jaedong was stiill a pretty good match. i liked it and thought JD was pretty good, probably good enough to qualify for Code A on a good day.

aLive is just a tough enemy... one of the very best TvZ players.

I wonder if HoTS will throw the BW players even more or less than the current pros.

These GSL players were shit as well back in the open season days. Give these Kespa players a while and they'll get good too.

To be fair, GSL players didn't all have access to the training houses, weren't all the most talented RTS players on the planet, (or if they were really talented, were fairly old and past their prime (aka July, Boxer, NaDa), many didn't have access to years of training in starcraft full time, and most of all, had to develop their own strategies and figure stuff out, while the KeSPA players come into a far more mature metagame with builds ripe for the stealing.

It's clearly not that though. They still don't ahve the experience to pick the right moves at the right time. That only comes with playing a ton, and they'll get that after a while

JD in the first game made some really weird decisions, mostly revolving banelings. He'll figure it out soon enough and then start to do well

Sorry, but this sentence is just laughable...

I can't tell if he's trying to insult SC2 for being chaotic, or insult BW for being simplistic.... Both which are wrong.

Alright, so I'm gonna be asking this question a bunch over the coming months, and I figure tonight is a good night to start asking:

Poll: Has the Elephant been slain tonight?

Yes, if GSL pro gaming is a farce these games would have been closer. (58)

58%

No, give them six months and they will dominate the scene (32)

32%

Not yet, but it's looking like it will be. (10)

10%

100 total votes

Your vote: Has the Elephant been slain tonight?

(Vote): No, give them six months and they will dominate the scene
(Vote): Yes, if GSL pro gaming is a farce these games would have been closer.
(Vote): Not yet, but it's looking like it will be.

I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Reality is still in the tournament, and he's actually quite good. If a KeSPA player would have a decent shot in this tournament, it's him.

sad to see Light not in this, he's one of the best kespa players at sc2.

JD would have won that first game on a more balanced map. JD could have very easily won this match against a legit code s terran. Despite the 0-2 loss, JD still looked impressive.

It was the only thing he could have gone with the time given, after that fuck up against the marines in the start, and roach bane ling is pretty good against MMM, if your banes connect, which they didnt do, so stfu plox.
