I don't think that anyone who makes a balance claim based on one single tournament has a right to even use a computer But instead of focusing on all the Protoss players that have been eliminated, I'm going to focus on the ton of awesome TvZ we're going to get! There are tons of Protoss players I love, but man am I tired of PvZ and PvP.

Everyone I expected to win did, but in a much easier fashion than I thought they would.

Hmm I expected 3-0s across the board with all the winners winning, Coca can do some odd things that cause him to lose sometimes though so its not surprising Sase was able to take 1 game.

Wasn't an odd game at all where Sase won, he just outplayed Coca. Unfortunately he couldn't do it again after that.

There are plenty of Korean terrans though. Instead of complaining, they just go out and win. And have you seen Major's TvZ? I don't doubt for a second that he can take out JonnyRecco.

It was simpler than that.

Sase rushed out 3 zealots and a stalker to Coca's 3rd base at an odd timing. Coca got caught with his pants down. No defensive units, no speed, no roach, no spine, nothing. He ended up using drones to hold off against 3 zealots and a stalker. It was painful to watch.

Lost drones, queen, overlords, and a lot of slowlings. Coca fell very far behind very quickly, and never recovered.

I hope for a slaughter
MajOr can definitely be the dark horse of the tournament with all those P away.

Coca made Sase look easy. Outclassed, as casters would say.

You kinda touched on this but the thing is, aside from Nani getting beaten, most or all of the Protoss who lost weren't favored going into their matches in the first place. Sase, MaNa, elfi and Welmu were all considered underdogs and I don't know enough about BabyKnight or fraer to comment but I don't remember many people calling them to win the matches either. If it makes you feel better, Squirtle and Creator definitely have the potential to make it to the semi's. First is good, but Taeja is Taeja.

Mana took Taeja 2-3 in Asus ROG and you predict him to lose 3-1 to Hack? Hack - the guy that lost to JYP? I think you need to invert those scores.

Has anyone quoted this prediction yet.

That nydus game from Coca was crazzzy.

The person that made that prediction is usually really smart. A genius even. I don't know why he was wrong today.

Well I didn't watch the games so I wouldn't know, but as someone else described though it was an odd timing and that seems like something Coca would manage to screw up sometimes. Coca still won all the other games though so it doesn't really matter. =D

He didn't rush out zealots at all. His timing was extremely late because he went double forge and honestly, there shouldn't have been a push in the first place. Coca outsmarted himself and went greedy.
