well, cats said "2 of them would be playing". if they only bring a 7 player roster, then 2 of them would have to play (assuming 5 players get played)

Nestea for star power. Fans want to see MVP, Nestea, MC, and Seed because they are all GSL Champions and they are very popular (Seed not so much yet). A Slayers-IM or Liquid-IM finals would bring more live attendees I think than say...Karont3 vs NSHoseo (no offense), because Slayers and Liquid have huge fanbases, and Boxer and Jessica are basically Korean celebrities.

Yeah, I know. Jjakji is one of my personal favorites as well. MVP and Nestea aren't the players who contributed too much in teamleagues this season, but they might play that Bo9 team ace showmatch, and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy seeing a Nestea / MVP/ MC showmatch.
