Idra won one game. That's hardly walking. Don't get to excited.

While it is one game. To fans of Idra and EG thats kind of a big deal, since he has struggled to get beat anyone who is really really good. And beating MKP is an awesome win for idra and fans. Idra looked very good in it. He also looked very good vs creator until creator just killed him. I think for EG to kill 2 of primes best players theres a lot of hope for the team to do better in the next one.

this is an attitude that i like to see not like some of the other ones in this thread :D

EG 5:3/4 Prime

Pretty impressive. 4 next players from EG in correct order, and 2 from Prime. First 4 match scores correct as well. JYP didn't deliver for you .

He knew the results beforehand since they were leaked. There have been ten pages of complaints about that.

They were only partially leaked.
I think that IPL should lend players accounts, because even though you can prevent being spoiled by not reading LR thread beforehand, it's still interesting to read because of hype and stuff, so taking measures to prevent spoilers would be a good thing.

Well, EG deployed 2 Europeans of their own today, and only one American. I definitely wouldn't call EG an NA team, hell I hesitate to even call them a foreign team anymore.

I didn't say NA team, it's just that often in these multi regions team leagues, it was the european teams (compared to NA / korean + EU/NA) with european players and not their korean recruits, who achieved the most impressive upsets (Empire 4-5 Prime, Acer same I think, mouz a very good result but I don't recall against which team) with almost only their "original" foreign players.
Which could indicate that having players more "close" (in the sense of no language barrier) to each other is a good thing

egevoli fully leaked them on reddit as well, pretty much.

we knew that
idra > mkp
creator > idra
demu > creator

and evoli said eg lost 5-2
so that's how i knew bbbb 4-killed EG

so pretty much all leaked, yeah.

The evoli post I saw was probably edited then, because when I looked at it I didn't see the 5-2 result. Only that foreigners won games and stuff.

Nope, it was known that Prime won 5-2 with foreigners being the only wins for EG. The guy also happened to know the builds used in Idra vs MKP and DeMuslim vs Creator. I would say that is a pretty whole leak.

Well, it's no secret that EU is stronger than NA. I think it might be possible that EU teams do take these teamleagues like IPL TAC very seriously, probably more than Korean teams do, which could result in the EU teams doing relatively well. Mouz I know took these teamleagues very seriously, and they absolutely killed it in the first TAC. It could be the preparation gap that allows EU teams to put up such close fights with the Korean behemoths.

But when a Korean team prepares like they do in the GSTL, now that is scary. :O

Well done, Prime. :D Prime will now face Startale. This is gonna be interesting. A rematch of the last GSTL Final.

And just one question; if MarineKingPrime is a bad player, why did he win 2 MLGs this year and got second another time and he´s in Code S for all 4 seasons this year. Not to mention his results in 2011. If you say he´s bad, what are all the Code A/Code B players or foreigners? Also, if you say he´s bad; who´s a good player then? I guess judging by these standards the only good players are multiple GSL winners/Foreign Tournament Champions like MVP, Nestea, DRG, MMA, MC.

Surprised BB 4-killed, would've expected JYP or Thorzain to shut him down at some point, oh well.

He's the ass who spoiled the first game(s) results for all of us, he already knew that when making his prediction. Have a hard time he actually guessed those first three games correctly.

God you're dull. IdrA > MKP. Deal with it

tourney results and prize money say otherwise, idra gets to cast events while MKP wins them, deal with it

BBoongbboong played really well but EG definitely made some bad choices in terms of player order. JYP to snipe BBBB and then thorzain/puma to maybe clean out rest since prime has no more zergs besides salmosa

Byun and Maru are far, far stronger than Puma and Thorzain on recent form so wouldn't have made much difference imo.

PuMa is REALLY good at TvT, he can definitely take a game off of Maru OR ByuN, and while I don't know much of ThorZaIN's condition, its not farfetched to believe hes capable of dealing with Maru or ByuN as well.

It's not farfetched to assume that any player in both rosters for these teams can take a map against any of the player in the other team.

Obviously its possible, but likely is a completely different story. I think it's safe to say that 95% of people here would agree that if EG took out Prime it would be a HUGE upset.

Yes but 1 game is different from one match.

Let's assume (hypothetically) that Prime would win each individual set 65% of the time. Obviously this isn't static but let's assume it is (MKP would probably beat Idra more than that, Bboong would beat JYP less that than for sure, etc.)

That means in a 1 set match EG would win 35% of the time.

In a BO9 EG would win 17% I think, if I did the math correctly.

It's actually 3-9 with wins over Gumiho (2-1), clide (2-0) and oz (3-1).
4-9 if you throw Select as Korean.

Not amazing but he's gonna get better.

There has to be something a bit saddening about losing to a guy name BboongBboong.

Not to mention the fact that a lot of players just can't seem to win after joining EG hope EG as a team and as individual players will do much better in the coming days...but I've been thinking that for a while. ><
