BBoongbboong played really well but EG definitely made some bad choices in terms of player order. JYP to snipe BBBB and then thorzain/puma to maybe clean out rest since prime has no more zergs besides salmosa
Byun and Maru are far, far stronger than Puma and Thorzain on recent form so wouldn't have made much difference imo.
Well, we can't go too far into hypotheticals, but normally Idra and Demuslim should have never beaten MKP and Creator either.

PuMa is REALLY good at TvT, he can definitely take a game off of Maru OR ByuN, and while I don't know much of ThorZaIN's condition, its not farfetched to believe hes capable of dealing with Maru or ByuN as well.
It's not farfetched to assume that any player in both rosters for these teams can take a map against any of the player in the other team.

Pretty much. Makes me sad to see how it ended.
EDIT: Stanlot, they left JYP for last when JYP's vZ is amazing while his vT is poor at best, and B4 is very good vT, and after B4 was out it would have been Prime Terrans left, which JYP is NOT going to be comfortable beating.
I'm sorry Prime. I got invited to go watch batman with some people and had to miss your match. B4 is making a come back! woo! get back in GSL bro! gl in next round. Also grats to IdrA and Demuslim for some big wins
i agree that thorzain was a bad pick, but puma was alrighttt maybe jyp was a bit busy or something, or eating dinner, i dno. since this isn't played live in a studio, the organisation between players can be a bit haphazard

Obviously its possible, but likely is a completely different story. I think it's safe to say that 95% of people here would agree that if EG took out Prime it would be a HUGE upset.

I'd rather see ThorZaIN saved for Daybreak than Tal'darim Altar, I can KIND OF see PuMa on Antiga, but its just... his TvZ just isn't solid, he does some weird stuff and it really doesn't seem to work often. At least not when I see him play, he would have been much smarter as a TvT sniper, his TvT is his best matchup right now in my opinion, and Terrans were definitely on their way from Prime.
This was pretty easy to predict, not the individual games, but the fact that prime won. This broadcast was delayed because the teams didn't get the replays to IGN in time last week. Don't you think if EG won, they would have been rushing those replays to IGN, so it would get shown right away?

Totally shocked that Idra and DeMuslim of all people were the ones to beat MKP and Creator.
EG could have seriously taken this if their player choices weren't pants on head retarded.
So what, sending out JYP sooner? He lost to B4 anyway. As far as I can tell Idra and Demuslim were good choices, so there isn't much else to complain about. The best player on EG that wasn't used at all was Huk who I can't remember the last good performance of.
Meanwhile they're up against Prime, who have a recent history of dominating team leagues and who beat FXO, a current GSTL finalist on the way here. The best player EG beat on the way here was who? CrazyMoving? Sjow? Select? Not a single player that has ever made code S and not even a current code A player. In fact, they got 5-0'd by an MVP B-teamer (don't know if he is officially B-team, but his farthest progress was code A RO16 last year).
Yeah, Prime got all-killed by Taeja, but Taeja is godlike online.
Sorry, EG was completely outclassed here on a day when Prime's two best players severely under-performed.

tvz on daybreak is not easy; puma's tvz is fairly decent and antiga is possibly the only map terrans might not dislike against zergs lol. either way i guess jyp lost to bbbb anyway, so assuming no mentality issues came through, the result would've been the same i think that maru and especially byun have better tvt than both puma and thorzain though
1. Just because JYP lost on the final map there doesn't mean he would have lost on Antiga, or Tal'darim, momentum is huge in teamleague.
2. I like ThorZaIN better on Daybreak or Antiga because I like his longer term macro play on those maps more than I like him on Tal'darim Altar.
3. PuMa's TvT is pretty potent, I don't think hes less than 45 against either ByuN or Maru, its a matchup that he can very easily be considered a sniper in and it was much more likely for him to beat ByuN or Maru than B4.
4. Quoting previous performances means very little, otherwise MKP and Creator probably would have just beat IdrA and Demuslim, so bringing previous performances up here after IdrA and Demuslim is kind of irrelevant and asinine.
With regards to Idra, no one should take what he says seriously because he's a very poor talent evaluator because he doesn't actually base it on skill, but on whether or not he likes someone or not. Remember he called Huk terrible before he joined EG, but then once Huk joined EG, suddenly Idra is his biggest fan when his gameplay never changed from his gateway timings. Idra probably still thinks Huk is terrible, but just won't say it now because they're teammates.
I bet if Incontrol wasn't his teammate, he would tear him a new one. Idra always has an agenda behind everything he says. He does things for shock value because he knows people eat that stuff up. Love him or hate him, he's smart with marketing and has the community on a string that he makes dance at his whim.

I agree. Bo5 or Bo7? That's debatable, but anyone on a pro team can take a game off of any one else on any other pro team at any given time IMO.
