They are using qualifiers, not invites. So anyone who is there deserves to be there. (Albeit some of the best foreigners didn't even try to qualify, like naniwa).

The players qualified. I think i would rather see a qualified player go through and get kicked out first or perhaps make it to the next round than an invited one. At least the qualified player worked to get there whereas an invited player often shows up and plays poorly.

Yeah but so did cytoplasm from HerO. Dont like be harsh or something but; even a broken clock is right 2 times a day.
So yes when the planets line up, they maybe take a game off a top player but. Still looks one sided untill now.

Plus, with the picking system, the top koreans got to choose the unknowns first, which makes them seem even worse. "Rising top GM Europeans/North americans" would not be a terrible way to describe them, but they're a little outmatched against "top Koreans"

I didn't suggest that players should be invited. I just said that none of the qualified unknowns have impressed so far. Not a single one.
