No it is actually really smart, he focus down everything in MC army that is well equipped to kill zerglings and then remax on zerglings. There was still plenty of immortals and stalkers left after that fight, had he remaxed on roach it would have been way less cost effective.

Yeah, had he maxed on roaches he had a decent shot at losing that game. 20 stalkers + 4 immortals crush roaches - it's not funny how hard they do it. Plus they require gas -> less broods.

It's not just about stopping MC's army. He had to have enough of an army to make a counter to win that game. That's what he managed to do with lings + broods.

The point is that he had 60+ larva saved up on FOUR HATCH, he kept up his injection in the middle of the engagement.

Think about that, he doesn't miss a beat.

He had been stuck on 200/200 for ages and was floating over 5k minerals and 2k gas it was basically bad macro saving him

Well, roaches are not very effective vs Protoss late game except as a meats shield and to be under broodlords. Stephano probably felt he did not need any more roaches until after the first big engagement.

And yet he rebuilt it after the fight anyway

Yes, because he needs them to be below the broodlords to stop blinks. But in a 200 vs 200 engagement, they are not very effective per supply because ff, blink, colo, immortal all counter them to a degree.

When i watch Korean games PVZ it rarely goes to BL's look at Symbol Hydra play.

I think that the European PVZ is the strongest in the world.And MC is gonna loose like he lost to Nerchio
