Because DRG always faceroll's Naniwa except for the time he had food poisoning at Providence.
Naniwa is really, really bad vs Zerg and DRG is phenomenal against Protoss.
There's no chance Naniwa beats DRG.

You know, if there is one thing I learned from Starcraft 2, it's that any GSL player has a chance to beat any other GSL player, especially if both are Code S. That chance might be small, like less than 1%, but it exists.
Naniwa might have a small chance to beat DRG (20-30%), I feel. It's not that hopeless

Well your motto is "Anyone but Naniwa" so your opinion is not surprising.
You're probably the kind of person who said that Naniwa wouldn't win a game after he first got his Code S seed because his 1-12 record was proof that he was a shitty player.
I'll bet you that Naniwa wins in a series vs DRG.

I'll back you up on that bet, give nani some time to train vs DRG and he will race face. I believe.

i think DRG is the heavy heavy favourite against nani unless squirtle does some intense intense coaching

DRG is arguably the best player in the world right now. Top 3 at worst maybe...
Definitely the favourite on paper, but Naniwa is no stranger to being the underdog.

nani-drg is on the 12th, he has a week or so. not bad.

It's going to be tough for Naniwa to face DRG but I believe he can bring the games.
|
But he won't be facing DRG guys :x
|
I wish Nani the best of luck in his next games.

Oh wow, switched to wimbledon last night after I saw Naniwa losing the first round. Forgot to switch back for the later matches. Federer is just so absorbing to watch.
Very pleasant surprise to see Naniwa through to the round of 8. Go Naniwa!

Naniwa two round of 8's in a row. Best Foreigner.

ya, maybe SaSe, Squirtle, Ace and Parting can form a thinktank and pull something together

DRG has lost only one Bo5 ZvP this year, and it was against MC, probably the best PvZer in the world.
If it was a Bo1, or a Bo3, I could see Naniwa getting through with some prepared builds, but assuming DRG gets through his group in first place I don't see Naniwa beating him in 3 games.
|
As it stands I don't think many people dispute DRG's inherent advantage over Naniwa. The thing to factor into the equation too is that Naniwa can and will prepare like a madman every minute of the day to beat DRG. I still give the edge to DRG, but there's no way I would bet the farm on him taking it. I'd give DRG 70% chance of winning just because he is comically good. Maybe the best Z in the world, and his ZvP is definitely among the very strongest.
|
Remember guys, DRG still has to advance out of his group. DRG has been ultra-favored in groups before and has just had an off day and not advanced.
|
I doubt that Naniwa can take DRG at this point, DRG is ridiculously good, and Naniwa has simply lost a lot to mid-tier foreigner zergs. The good thing is that now Naniwa must dedicate time to his PvZ, and if he trains to beat DRG, well, other zergs will be a cakewalk by comparison .

Don't really care for the bloke, especially because he plays protoss and Im still at war, but that kid's got skills!
Anybody contest that go to Korea and compete in the world's most difficult tournament, see how you do !

I just realized that Naniwa's record in Korea is 56.25% vT, 64.71% vP, and 0% vZ (0-8). LOL

Because he hasn't faced a single zerg player since his recent seed?
