I don't think he made a ghost either, despite getting the energy upgrade. Kinda disappointing there, though he didn't really need them against the low Infestor numbers.

out of all the hundreds of games I've seen, that one always sticks out. Also mvp vs TOP game 1 during GSL August finals of last year was pretty amazing.

So true. So many good games lately, but very few have actually given me chills like the Nestea vs sC match. Maybe it was because Tastosis was casting, I dunno, but that game...

Nestea vs Byun was truly a great match. Both players played phenomenally and beat the hell out of eachother. This was like watching a train wreck...

Sculp chose his drop timings well. I could have sworn Symbol would have crushed him if he wasn't pulled back by the 2 medivac drop. Arguably Symbol could have done better with his aggression, but to say it was sloppy play is ridiculous.

Symbol's lategame showed some holes but also showcased really solid execution in other aspects. I think the lack of ranged upgrades actually hurt his ability to fight the air, those ITs were less effective than they could have been. His Ultra+infestor popping out of double nydus was brilliant, but wasn't enough to break sculp's composition and upgrades. otoh it was fun to watch ultras basically shrug off BC fire and ravage the structures on the ground. Wow, such a treat to watch

It's been awhile since I've watched GSL or GSTL live just because of how late it's always on. Yet since it was on earlier tonight I was checking it out. Holy shit I'm glad I did. That was without a doubt one of the best games I've seen in a looooong time. I don't even care who wins now, I'm going to bed, nothing is going to top that game. :D

Absolutely amazing.

yeah the one on crossfire. The fact it was game 5 in the ro4 made it that much more exciting. I usually didn't stay up for games back then, but I woke up in the middle of the night that day and it was game 4, so i figured I'd continue watching. I was so on the edge of my seat, I wanted Nestea to win so bad. It was sooo satisfying.

It was certainly amazing, and I have also been here the whole time. But the difference between this and some of the other "best games ever" is that both players would show near perfect play. This is definitely up there, but Symbol's poor decisions when building his army holds it back in my opinion.

And I don't mean to just be that guy, because that was sick and I had huge chills, just trying to be objective.

Symbol had ONE infestors, no more no less when he was maxed. There were no infestors in nydus, that was way after he lost most of his broodlords. The tide had already turned when he had enough infestors.
