Wish I could fast forward to 4pm today. I can wait to cast this.
IM said they were going to start using the big guns in TAC so I hope the coach keeps his word. They're going to need them vs MVP anyway. MVP might be in trouble without Genius though. They're lacking a really top-top-tier Protoss now.

One thing Genius isn't on MVP anymore...IM has a lot of really good people. I want MVP to win but NesTea, Seed, and MVP are made it to the group of 8/16...Going to be hard to beat.
Dafuq MC is still on IM roster in this tournament? Can't wait to see him in action . Hope IM coach will at least play one of MVP, Nestea, Losira, MC or all of them xD
This is gonna be awesome. i vote for MVP, I think TAiLs and Monster will tear it up and even if they fail there is still .....DONG RAE .....wait for it.... GUUUUU
btw, there is gonna be slayers v liquid soon right? when is that scheduled to go down?

Indeed, been so long since weve seen MC in a teamleague.
Poor sC, it feels like forever since he's actually won anything in any form. Hell he lost in the qualifiers for this season of GSL to some zerg called zero (Not the BW guy).

he's also back in the hospital again according to twitter (today)

What? You can get the entire tech tree of terran on one base, and you can get the entire tech tree of zerg on 2 base but that would take forever and it's pointless with how the race works. This is just a senseless whine, he took all of his gasses extremely early.

1 base BC/Thor so good yo .
Okay?
Anyway, Seed all-kill incoming.
I hope DongRaeGu stops him .
DRG does have a very fun style of ZvP if he's still doing his muta style, but it may have been figured out really. I'd be interested to see the roach/ling drop on this map, seems it would be good on this map.
Wow Seed could have just won the game... DRG only had 2 roaches in the main and no units in production. Protoss don't try to forcefield the ramp enough

People know DRG favourite roach/ling pressure transition into muta lings. The problem is not many toss can stop his DRG aggressive pushes at multiple front eventhough they know its coming.

Poor guy. Can't imagine how distressing that must be
Sc used to be a strong Code S player but had to dropped out due to lung problems(lung collapsing periodically). Pretty sad for him since he is only 18 years old and he is being plagued by this major sickness. He took major surgery but still can't practice as much since it will affect his health.
Saw the cheese coming when they sent out Happy really, nobody in their right mind, not even the IM coach, is gonna send out b-teamers against another team's ace again after what happened with Symbol.

Yes. You pool first, you'll probably hold of proxy raxes, but you'll be massively behind against anything else. Drg went 17 pool though, it was really late even for hatch first.
On June 29 2012 09:32 Havik_ wrote: Do you always Hatch first vs Terran? Is this normal play??
It's pretty standard especially with the queen buff as long as you don't get to greedy like DRG did and pump pout two more drones before going for pool it can be held.
On June 29 2012 09:32 Havik_ wrote: Do you always Hatch first vs Terran? Is this normal play??
Yes it's normal. That can still be held with hatch first just not with a pool that late. He went hatch first and then all the way up to 17 drones before making his pool. He also made a gas as well which is just useless in that scenario.
Why did he pull his lings at the wall back? They could at least damage the wall meaning far less money for Happy (mining time AND repair cost)... He took them home yet engaged before the lings were home. That confused me
I ordered pizza for this =\ I caught the tail end of that match. What pool what it and what rax was that at? DRG didn't pull a single drone. Must've been like a 17 pool or an 11 rax.

15 hatchs and like 17 pool, didnt scout anything either. double 11 rax

Hatch first has been standard vs terran since late 2010 really. Since terran doesn't have a viable opener, that can punish hatch first (protoss has FFE and zerg can fast/semifast pool). However going hatch first into 17 pool is unusually greedy. I'm sad to see him go - but on the flipside it's good to see someone punish them greedy zerg players
On June 29 2012 09:32 Havik_ wrote: Do you always Hatch first vs Terran? Is this normal play??
Everyone hatch firsts versus terran, if anything its more popular now because it gets more queens out faster and queens shut down T till late game. The issue here is that the T had a specifically prepared builed to hit DRG hard when he played his standard game. It worked, hit DRG when he was assuming no terran wouldnt hit hard (because terrran early pressure is generally useless now) and took him out Thats what sniping in team leagues is about

It was both.
Oh wow lol. I haven't lost to a 2 rax while hatching first and 17 pooling since xel naga caverns was in the map pool :D

Haha It's funny because it's becoming more and more common to just proxy 11/11 to snipe zergs now. It feel like they just go " Fuck it, i'm 2raxing "
You can't just calling it a "snipe" when it's against DRG, who is inarguably the best ZvT player in the world. It was extremely good playing, no matter what the build was. DRG didn't try to build an all-Terran GSL group for nothing.

To be fair some of us were saying seed was good for a while... Happy though, I probably woulda called him the 6th best player on IM which isn't saying much. Obviously the big two. Then Losira, then seed then in my opinion ... Well yeah happy I guess... YongHa hasn't been aweful lately either, or yoda.

Happy is actually amazing, we just dont see him at many foreign tournaments so he doesnt have as much oppurtunity to shine.

Man. Sometimes I don't understand starcraft at all.
I did NOT see 5-1 IM coming.
Which is why people need to stop bashing the IM coach all the time. He knows what he's doing, sometimes players simply don't perform, and other times they do. He looks like a genius for taking DRG out with Happy, but had DRG won, people would've criticized it.

Happy has made a Code S Semi final, around that time he was definitely the 3rd best player on IM, as LosirA was going on his downward plunge and Seed was nowhere to be seen, Yongwha really hasn't done much either despite always being pretty good. Of course Seed has overtaken Happy in the pecking order right now due to his good form, but Happy has been in similar form before, he's quality.
On June 29 2012 17:02 Koshi wrote: Why couldn't they do this in the GSTL? MC is going bossmode and they couldn't even use him .
Yeah it sucks that IM went out without even using MC (but he was out of the country so just unfortunate timing I guess). They should have used Seed more too, I think in one of their GSTL matches they didn't even bother throwing out a Toss player, which was odd.

Yeah, the third best player of IM has been passed around. It basically went Losira -> Happy -> Seed.
Yongwha, though a staple and strong Protoss, is actually yet to make a proper splash outside team leagues. Yoda is probably the only other potentially consistently good IM player and I would place him above Yongwha.
Right now if I was seeding IM based on this year it would be something like: 1) MVP 2) Nestea 3) Seed 4) Happy 5) Losira 6) Yoda 7) Yongwha 8 - ?) The rest.
If it wasn't for the last 2-3 weeks though, I'd probably still rate Happy over Seed, but Seed is beast mode lately. Losira still hasn't returned to his former power, but he's looking like he might be on the up and up which is exciting.
Anyway, IM are a super powerful team. If they could pull their team league performances together, they are definitely the strongest team on paper.
