Terrible engagment by Ace. He seems to have run out of HT for some reason, even though he had 2k gas banked.

Well, you can win an engagement if the Protoss has half his army auto attacking a planetary while you sandwich him and get his templar for free =D

Well Terran also has to control their vikings and marine/marauders at the same time as trying to control their ghosts, it's not easy. Protoss uses their HT's and mostly just attack moves their main army, targeting vikings with stalkers too I suppose.

I think Taeja's problem is that its so hard to attack a defensive protoss and he doesnt really have a way to force Ace to attack him really..... And as soon as Ace actually tried to be offensive he died lol.

Yeah, but it wasn't even close. If you emp the entire army it should be close. He also did quite some damage in the early game, how come Ace went toe to toe with him in the late game? Fuck TvP.

It was close at first.

Then the follow up warp in from Ace tipped the scales into his favor.

That's the big problem. It doesn't matter if you clear out all the Zealots when you're trading your army away, if you don't kill the Collosus, the follow up warp in will just break you.

Taeja was doing pretty well, and was ahead all the way until he way overcommited at Ace's natural, first getting stormed from the high ground, and then not getting out of there when it became clear that he couldn't win, at which point he was in fact still ahead, but instead he lost his entire army, and then everything snowballed out of control.

Oh I totally agree. The game completely fell out of Taeja's favor the moment he lost the siege tanks and ace was on 3 bases.

I was just pointing out what happened in that last engagement where Taeja got crushed despite landing EMPs.

?Those siege tanks didn't mean anything, taeja was still ahead for a good portion after those 2 meaningless siege tanks got picked off.

While the siege tanks dying wasn't a huge deal, it was at that time that Taeja lost the advantage he had acquired in the early game.

After that push was denied Ace was up on a third base faster than his opponent, and it was that superior economy that ended up winning him the game.

Are you kidding me? Taeja had the better economy even after losing those 2 meaningless tanks. He was max with 3k min in the bank, 1.5k gas, 5 or so OC before Ace fully established his 4th

And yet it was at that moment that I knew with absolute certainty that Taeja was going to lose that game.

Wonder how I knew that.

Granted a lot of that was because it was on Daybreak.
