Not cool. Why should anyone really care? I haven't watched this tournament at all because the level of players is so drastically lower than say the GSL.
The Ro8 games were actually a fair bit better than today's GSL group. Unless you think Sniper rallying his units through a siege line or MC doing 1 base blink observer all-ins is somehow entertaining.

I've actually really enjoyed this tournament. Some of the results have been completed unexpected. But that's not to say the games haven't been low-level and not enjoyable. It has been excellent.
And it's nice to see the Koreans not just dominate.

It's not as boring as it was the other night i watched. Cus its a finals i guess i think the viewing experience is way more better than starcraft2 Really? Are there people who don't play these games but prefer to watch them instead? I can totally understand why these games have a huge playerbase, but as an e-sports they feel very rough to say in the least. *raises hand* I haven´t played a MoBa in a long time, but I enjoy Dota II as well as SC II. It is actually very strategic with a huge amount of ways to win it. I also like that the games are longer and comebacks are more likely.
I've never played a moba but have been watching and enjoying Dota2 a whole lot more than SC2 these past two or three months. Don't really know why you'd think SC2 is more "esport"-y. The teamplay aspect adds a lot of interest, imo.

I mean, we get front page previews every single day of the GSTL. They didnt do one for GESL or Redbull lan. TL really falling behind on these.

I agree, I was out of town this weekend and I didn't even find out about DH until today. TL didn't even put up a little count down timer which is surprising cuz DH is a pretty big tournament.

As much as Dimaga deserved his wins versus both NaNiwa and Fraer, I'm seeing very few options for protoss against that strategy of his relying on massive baneling drops on top of the protoss army, reinforced by huge swells of lings. The banelings blow up the zealots, and then the scattered stalkers are pretty much doomed when their support is gone. The way to beat would be to hit before the drop research is done, I guess, but banelings should really take up one supply, rather than a half, the entire game imo. The way I see it, having copious amounts of units doing significant splash damage should tie up a bit more of your supply.
Maybe there should also be a possibility to feedback overlords, to get rid of a bit of their health when they're flying above your army or into your base, just to reward a player with high apm and tier three units out, aiding him when defending against the approaching assault. I'm not thinking of a change that would negate the drop strategy, but give the protoss player an option as to whether he'd want to deal with the baneling shower or the infestors with his templar. In addition, this would imply that overlords should also have an ability that costs energy and therefore might not have a large impact on the racial balance. Just thinking out loud here.

Actually Hero made it to the RO8, but I agree, Europe stood strong this weekend. Who would have predicted before: 1. fraer 2-1 5-3 2. Cytoplasm 2-1 4-4 3. Vampire 1-24-4 4. PuMa 1-2 3-5

I'm just going to guess your in gold league and watching GSL makes you feel like you know something about this game. There have been so many exciting games.
just don't pay attention to retarded Korean elitists... watch the Dota 2 final, it shapes up to be a great game.

It is nice to see a protoss being able to take down Stephano, however I do not like how PvZ becomes "win before minute xyz or die". There should be another legitimate answer to the 3 hatch mass roach aggression except a 2 base all-in. :-/ Similar problems haunt the other 3 non-mirror matchups in my opinion (that is, in the current metagame, one race always presses hard to finish the game early).

why do naniwa, sase and hero not make it to the semis then?
would be cool to have like 2-3 top notch koreans more next time, like mkp, mc, drg

Hahah and all those GSL players just got destroyed by the EU players. What does that tell you? doesnt change his point tho, if you're assuming suddently foreigners are better than GSL players, why dont they win a GSL..

obviously they deserve it if they made it this far. it's just that i absolutely hate watching dima's zvp (and generally his decision making in any matchup) and mana's pvz from a spectator's standpoint.

Mana went 20-9 = 68% winrate Dimaga went 21-8 = 72% winrate And hero went 21-2 = 92% winrate. Don't judge preformance based on winrates. Lol, as some1 who has been watching sc far longer then you, I understand that. It was just an informative post on their stats in case ppl wanted to know. No need to be a dick about it.
