He deserved to win it because he won. And this is coming from someone who despises Zerg and is a Terran fanboy.
I would have thought we'd be past this "better player loses" nonsense by now.

idrA surprised as well

Can't say I blame him, that was pretty surprising with that army lead..

Stephano was ahead on bases. Toward the end puma basically only had 1 mining base and stephano was banking. Killed all puma's stuff remaxed. Puma didnt move out cause he didnt want to lose that middle base.

these terran tears are delicious

It's impossible as zerg to trade army cost effective in ZvT vs tanks. It's a miracle that Stephano won that. Quite awesome how he dealt with all that harass while terran was on 4 base and with only 40 workers all game long and could make it past the 30 min mark xD

Even I who's clearly not a fan of Incontrol think he's doing a really great job casting.

Puma didn't split his units and pushed too late. But let's whine about balance yeah, makes more sense.
Edit : But tbh Stephano is not playing like his usual self at all, more mistakes than usual.

I like how putting up a good fight against Stephano is a step in the right direction towards Code S.

Not in this game. In general.

Stephano is playing super bad, like 70% of his actual strenght If you don't prepare for drops that's true. But if you put out some spores and spines, or leave some units behind in bases, a player who shift click drops simply loses all his units and dies. That's why most high level terrans don't simply shift clicks drops.

Idra should probably take note of how it happened.

Yah, not often you see +30 army supply T force that's well prepared for Ultra infestor lose like that.
Oh well, it was a pretty nonsensical game in general, so much bad play =(

everyone saying stephano shouldnt have won that game has their head in the sand. he was WAY ahead after the first few engagements, wiping puma's army, but antiga being an awful map and stephano making some mistakes evened the scales. in the end the right fungals were landed and stephano persevered through all the lost hatches. i think it was legit

The last couple fights puma had less than 5 tanks, so that might be why.

And stephano didn't attack when he was up 40 supply after the first attack...stop whining -_-

That game was pretty sick. The whine from the terrans in this thread is sickening though... they seem to collectively forget the bust which killed a ridiculous amount of workers at the start of the game happened, and how no damage to Stephano's early-mid economy was done, yet Puma still clawed his way back into that position. Incredible play by both players, but jeez..

They're both doing a great job. I love Khaldor's casting with any pro player and iNcontroL is no exception, especially since he's already a good caster on his own.
Together, they're an amazing duo. Great chemistry, great casting, not being affected by all the tech issues.
