Oh, come one, let's not balance. I mean, I think maybe something mental. Like a training montage.

It's not like Mike Morhaime knows anything about the game except the title and some general stuff. He actually knows a lot if not all about Blizzard's games. I remember him answered a question about their games at Blizzcon.

HAY GUYZ WE PLAY STARCRAFT 2!!!!!!! Why is it embarrassing? It's like the half time show of an NFL game where they let the little 6 year olds who barely know how to run without falling down play. Everybody is like "aww look at them trying, it's so cute!" No, it actually isn't. Vibe and Daisuki are both about a million times better than you, and could certainly hold their own in most foreign tournaments. Stop this self-loathing elitist bullshit. Just because an athlete isn't among the maybe 30 best players in the world doesn't make him an untalented scrub. 1) How much better they are than me is completely irrelevant. They're full time pro gamers (supposedly) and I work 50 hours a week and play a few games before I have to go to sleep so I can wake up and work my job the next day. It's annoying because the work ethic amongst American pro gamers just isn't there. 2) I love eSports but don't call pro gamers athletes please, that's silly. Unless you were just using it as an example. 3) These guys might be like top 100. ViBe probably is, I looked at the other guy's TLPD profie...he's played in two events that have counted that I've never heard of before. 1) So do I, cry me a river. They're good players, both of them, and your comparison to halftime show children falling over was insulting. 2) Semantics. 3) And yet he made it to the finals. What should be more insulting to you is that when we have a USA tournament finals people have to run to TLPD to find out who the hell the people are. (Not bashing ViBe here, I'm sure 99% of TLers know who he is) Are you even an american? Why am I having this debate with somebody from Estonia?

For those two this is true, but for players like Machine, LZGamer, Incontrol, etc. it isn't. They're great guys, but they aren't producing results at all. A lot of the new players ROOT picked up seem to already be putting up better results (see ViBE and Fitzyhere). If the NA scene is going to improve there needs to be more focus on developing players. And yeah, the NA scene is going to suck at first, but it's going to suck a lot longer if some of our most skilled players are stuck fending for themselves while players that aren't practicing as much, or just lack the talent at this point get sent to tourneys and paid salaries. It's a bummer (it'd be nice for everyone to have a shot), but that's the only way NA is going to improve.

The EU scene just seems more dynamic, with more small tournaments where they regularly compete and quicker pick-ups by teams. I think that's why the EU scene develops much faster, and the gap between NA-EU is growing, while EU-KR might be closing somewhat. Anyhow, finals hypehype! Bo9 please!

But I think some people take issue with the prize money he got when it's more than Sase and MKP got combined and they're at a much higher level of competition. Just in case you were seriously wondering why. Its a different Tournament. Who cares, seriously. Better dont watch The International 2.
