You're going to have to do better than 2base all-ins every game to even have a glimpse of a chance in Code S, though. I know I should be impressed by Sase, but for some reason I'm totally not. How often does Stephano lose to Protoss? You should be. Yesterday those same people were arguing that Stephano was a top 3 Zerg, and today they're not impressed that Sase can beat their "top 3 Zerg" lol. Lol, gaining the favor of the LR thread is random indeed. Coming from a non Stephano fanboy, I think he is top 4 with DRG/Symbol at #1/2. Then there are the players like Moon/Violet/Leenock/Stephano who havn't distanced themselves. Sase is playing amazing though. No Nestea? I mean I know he hasn't been doing well lately but given his history and shit I'd still put him top 5. Hmm yes i forgot the Creator of the universe He is in that group too. I'd say it is too hard to seperate them. Most pro's seem to think Symbol is on another level with DRG though.

Sase had better take out Alicia now, seriously... Stephano would have rolled him and played MKP again

I remember that he was not seeded at MLG anaheim that he won. I could be wrong though.

I believe Leenock is also the only person to ever win it from the Losers bracket as well. When Naniwa won it from the open bracket he was the winners bracket champ To be fair, if you can take the first bo3 in the grand finals coming from the losers, it becomes really favored for the loser's bracket player Yea but also it's almost always an extended series final to begin with im pretty sure so thats why the losers never win
If its not an extended series than first its a standard Bo3 then it the person from losers bracket wins it becomes an extended series.

I haven't seen any political ads all weekend. It's probably whatever service is providing the ads customizing them for where you are... any primaries or elections coming up in your region? All I keep getting are cleaning ads, that MOTHERFUCKING CHEVY ad, and a few assorted random bits about smoking. (Lots of anti-smoking, actually, but Florida draws a lot of anti-tobacco advertising. Sad, because I see them and immediately want to have one.)

Well,i'm not really surprised,SaSe is pretty good, almost as good as Naniwa.

It's also funny because Stephano has said he likes to use chat to get an advantage and then everyone on the LR thread started whining about him typing saying shit. Meanwhile SaSe just used the convenient "block" option and went about his business.

He just sux in base trade scenario but he harras/delay pushes very very well Yeah I guess he normally delays well, but so often Muta/ling just turns into a base trade. He is good with Mutas when it doesn't result in a base trade but base trades happen so often as a result of mutas that you can't really say he is "very good" with them. Stephano is too methodical and Mutas can make games kinda random sometimes.
according to IdrA in his interview with hotbid, Stephano actually just plays pretty random, rather than methodically...

Everyone knows the finals is DRG vs MKP He might beat DRG. And top 3 is nothing? Extended series. DongRaeGu has practically won at the moment. Either way he is in a great position since he came out of the winners bracket. Yeah, but he is up 2-0 against two players, and the other one is Alicia. That's a big deal. If he had won 2-1 against MKP, okay, I'd give him a chance still. But 2-0 is too much and none of the others has much of a chance against him either. No, the only person Alicia has lost to was Stephano, and Stephano's out now.
That's what I meant. DongRaeGu has a 2-0 lead against MarineKing and SaSe, and if Alicia should make it, well, then it's Alicia against DongRaeGu.
They should start writing the checks.

Alicia was easy for stephano due extended series but... Exactly. Every foreigner should have been cheering for Stephie when you win everything everyone'll hate you. What exactly has Stephano won? IPL 3. He beat a stacked list of competitors there

You're thinking of xenophobia. You can be xenophobic towards someone of your own race (but a different nationality/ethnicity).

IPL3 and Lone Star Clash are the big ones I guess, tons of online tourneys. Also 3rd at Red Bull, 3rd at Assembly Summer.

While people are quick to discredit Naniwa's open bracket championship win because there were no Koreans, people forget that he did it during the 4-gate era of PvP.
That time was so coinflippy for PvP, and to make it to the finals without dropping a single game inspite of how PvP played out was ridiculous.
In my opinion that was the most impressive open bracket win, as unlike now skill didn't necessarily win out in all 3 matchups back then. Also the map pool was fucking horrible way back then.

I wanted a marineking stephano rematch, and a cool zvz too : (
Let's hope Sase can win both Alicia and MKP!
