That voice is about 1,000,000x more responsible for the SC2 scene being as big as it is than Stephano, so stfu and watch or do something else. single player english voice responsible for the sc2 scene ??!!!, where english speaking person don't do shit, you're the one that should shut up Actually, yes. StarCraft was not initially released internationally, and had it failed in the US at a time when, let me reiterate, LAN and the Internet were not at all common and most often of the 56k modem variety, than there wouldn't have been a game scene that lasted long enough to cause Broodwar to be deemed worth the development costs. And then there would have been no cult of StarCraft. Much as you multiplayer elitists may want to say single player doesn't matter - when multiplayer meant carting your PC to your friend's house to play or tying up the phone line for hours at a time, having an engaging and re-playable storyline with good voice actors matters. Or would you rather StarCraft have gone the way of something like StarWars: Rebellion? (which had a lot of other problems, granted.) One of the things that really made SC1 stand out, in an era where you didn't get fully rendered cinematic scenes in glorious HD and the technology didn't lend itself to great visuals, was the storyline and voice acting. He didn't create the eSports scene (which was already in embryo form when SC1 came out) but his voice helped to give a lot of people that started up single player (because wtf was IPX/TCP? or a LAN?) a hook to make them care about playing the game, to keep going and have a reason for wanting to push back the Zerg, save Kerrigan, and damn Arcturus Mengsk. If you really want to see what an impact voice acting (as well as music, or sound in general) can have, replace Jim Raynor's voice with JP's voice. And make Tychus Findley sound like Kaelaris. (Not dissing Kaelaris. He's just not Tychus material.)

From a pure business perspective they should show him play. But instead we have one stream showing 2 koreans and another on wait mode for ages now... RAGE. I know but I don't get it, he's so boring to watch Yeah he is. I mean, beating koreans there and there, having an agressive style, trying different builds. Let's just watch some mech play, obviously entertaining. Didn't you know, the entertainment value of a game is directly proportional to the number of siege tanks built.

Obviously people are enjoying watching LoL so there's nothing wrong with that at all. I don't like MOBAs but I certainly don't care if others like them and I'm not going to bicker over which is harder. Doesn't change the truth man, people switch from SC2 over to Lol specifically because its so much easier to experience success, and theirs a huge social aspect which allows for individuals to shift the blame onto team mates instead of themselves. Call it elitism if you want but I just find it baffling that people can watch such a hollow game as opposed to much better games such as Dota (Way better then Lol by a longshot) and SC. I see your SC2 elitism and raise you BW elitism. Seriously. Don't drag this thread into a SC2 vs LoL debate. Who cares about SC2 vs LoL. What we should be talking about is LoL audience vs SC2 audience. The audience just isn't getting into the games for whatever reason. They haven't been horrible. It's probably because most of the games have just been Korean vs Korean and people just want to have that foreigner vs korean story line. None of the games today have been Korean vs. Korean. It's been Socke vs. Oz, Alive vs. Huk, DRG vs. Sase and Thorzain vs. Illusion. All the games on the main stage today have been essentially Korean vs. foreigner.

This event it is LoL crowd destroying the SC2 crowd. Last event the Halo crowd made the SC2 one look bad. It's nothing new.
