MC is a timing-attack Protoss first, macro Protoss a distant second. Every time MC loses, it's because his timing attacks fail to do early damage

I think a lot of people are over thinking it. MC just outplayed him a bit, and got Bomber flustererd enough to take the game. There really isn't a magic "meta-game shift" or "new super PvT style" here, just MC turned it on and Bomber let it slip.

Warp Prism harass is not really very uncommon and early pressure is really really common for Protosses. I think this tournament is the only tournament I've seen where Protoss has actually bothered to use Warp Prism outside of basing a build around it (like the Warp Prism 4 Sentry build for example). MC knew he was behind, so he used his warp prism to force Bomber to split his army and used his gateway units in small numbers to fight against the MMG mix. I dunno, feels like a lot more Protosses should be doing this type of thing instead of praying to get to 200/200.
It's a very situational thing. Protosses can get by with just regular pylon near harassment target + chargelot warp-in.
You do see Warp Prism's on and off either for putting HT in it or for harassment, but like I said, you can usually do the same thing with regular pylons. Not really a metagame shift.

It's because MC style is highly vulnerable to specific builds designed to hold early pressure, if MC can't do damage with his early attacks he always gets severely behind and has a hard time recovering. He always techs late, so when he doesn't do enough damage he's way behind.
Which boggles me to no end because MC's macro is perhaps the best of any Protoss in the world right now. When he gets a third up and running it's damn near impossible to beat him. I think he should shy away from the timings and just overwhelm his opponents, especially Terrans, with his excellent macro.

Preparation for individual opponents in international tournaments consists of a maximum of twenty-four hours (excepting initial opponents/group play). While every player is pretty well versed in the play of the usual suspects/opponents, there's a vast difference in being able to sit down for a week and compose an entire playbook for each set in a match.
