Where is the "Squirtle Way Way Ahead" option? BAM... poll shut down. I was thinking about adding it, but I don't think that was really the case. I think it was a tied game but nobody was really saying Squirtle was way ahead, hence why I left it out.
I could go into how that skews the answers etc. but I wasn't really serious as you probably noticed and I'm sure you know that. 
I think regame is the right decision btw.

i think this immortal / FF play to protect the third is viable and solid in a world where drops do not exist
however once drops are in the picture and all zergs start doing it i dunno what should be done for toss against a 12 minute roachmax + drops play which is possible and MC lost to symbol doing it in mlg spring arena 2
also ive seen plenty of tosses doing EXTREMELY fast thirds making cannons at both bases when scouting the fast third of stephano and I think that could be viable and could give extra economy to get out whats needed to beat the drops

this thread talks about it where tosses are taking 5 minute thirds. like the moment you see stephano drop his third the toss can drop a third and put a cannon there before lings come
if you played like that you could possibly have enough economy to go for a 12 minute blink, no forcefields and a field of cannons at your natural choke and third choke with no walls or FF's needed (or possibly just get 4sentries so you have 2 sentries per expansion to serve as 1-2 rounds of forcefields per expansion)
a cannon field + a couple FF's and blink stalkers should beat the roaches without immortals being needed
with this kind of play you could get very fast +3 upgrades since you have the twilight, blink stalkers, and you dont need obs or immortals because burrow play wont hurt you, time the robo to finish at around 12 is all you need and you are massing 3base blink stalker which is strong against that droptech
damn that sounds so powerful. a protoss massing 11gate 3base blink stalker at like 13 minutes could be brutal

That is not always true and this specific game was one of the exceptions. It only works if you can extend or abuse your tech advantage but squirtle never managed to keep his immortals and sentries alive. The most likely scenarios were that Stephano would either overrun him within the next 3 minutes or Squirtle would secure the 3rd but Meanwhile stephano just slowly starves him since he will run out in his main and natural before he can really create a big army.
The game has to be repeated because it was not impossible to win for protoss but Zerg was much more ahead than his supply implied
