Anyone in KOR have some more insight on this? rumor has NightEnd getting a Code S seed (as there is no Code A seed) but it's not confirmed yet is it possible that a Code A player (MMA?) has been given a Code S seed, so there is one extra spot open in Code A? Or aLive. IPL 4 was a bigger tournament than Iron Squid, but MMA might get the seed anyways over aLive since he is more of a fan favorite though. But this is all hypothetical speculation at this point. I think that is very unlikely, because if it were the case, then they would've added one more Code A spot to qualify for in the Code A qualifiers. I doubt that they would give anybody a bye in the first round of Code A. It would also be weird. They fell to code A legitimately and if they want back in they should play better. If the Nightend rumors are true it would be absolutely ridiculous. I like the guy, but none of his results warrant a code S invite. The seeds are messed up in the first place. Foreigners able to compete have teams backing them that can send them to korea for a longer duration without needing seeds or help from GomTV. Best thing to do is just getting rid of the seeds entirely. You're either a true competitor and don't need/want charity, or you shouldn't be in the GSL in the first place.
The seeds are unlikely, but not for that reason. Polt had just fallen into Code B when he got his seed, and Naniwa's Code A woes were well known when he got his Code S seed.

A lot of close calls this season...I think a foreigner will make it through qualifiers next season.
Interesting results overall, looking forward to Code A.

Oh dear, does GOM put Jinro and Choya into the same bracket on purpose? Its like the 4th(?) time now.

NightEnd is definitely not Code S level. If GOM gives him a seed, i will be speechless. He hasn't played in many notable tournements since he went to korea, but apparently he was slaughtering the top players on ladder. I could see a code S seed happen.. Will be interesting to see how much better he is since coming to korea. It's pretty sure the other seed is going to Stephano right?
Stephano is going to korea in august, so GSL 4 and not 3.

Wow, no T at all qualified during day 2. I'm eager to see Harrier play though.

So happy for Hyun and TSL

yeah yeah gogo hyun )

sad to see puma once again fails to qualify.

day 2 terrans were simply not as skilled. if you look at the terrans who played day 2, only a few are noteworthy whom you might think are shoe-ins

There haven't been many notable terrans in Code B in a long time.

So now the P-T-Z ratio code A: 12-14-14 code S: 10-12-8
This is quite nice.

ah man TLO almost made it in code A grats to the other players though

Poor Sc this kid is threatended with bad luck

i canthelp but think that HuK, Sase would go to redbull over trying to qualify.. both got Cde A seeds? or something?

Not necessarily, it was basically certain money for them to go to Red Bull. Even if they bowed out last in their group, they would have gotten $500, and both made more than that. In comparison, if a player win all 3 Bo3 and advances into Code S from the Ro24, they only make less than $900. GSL may be the most prestigious tournament, but money is persuasive as well.

Cmon TLO next season :O and if only deathangel would stay! We could get like 3-4 foreigners into code A! (I know that's only 10%.. but Naniwa and Stephano in code S would mean we would have even more players in GSL than ever!)
|
This is at least the second time that death angel gets so close to qualifying, i hoped he would do it as he seems relatively unknown, even tho hes a nice guy and pretty good :D.
Jinro also seems to always do pretty wellllllllllll\
Shame they didnt make it
|
Dang it Jinro. You can do it, you have the skills. What's going on?
|
I wish Deathangel would get more chances at foreign tournaments and the like. Two deep runs through the qualifiers means that he is definitely a very competent foreign player, too bad he's leaving Korea.

Am I seeing this right? Zero was one step away from qualifying for code a? Amazing, in such a short time, while playing BW Proleague and OSL. I'm extremly impressed with him!
