They were up against BratOK and a 99% chance of Strelok after that so they needed to win two XvT's in a row. Honestly none of the remaining players (qxc/Trimaster/Minigum/Ryan/Ryze/Goswser/CatZ) are of the caliber to defeat those two in standard games so you need someone who is good with doing weird shit and then win the scrappy game that follows. Also you'll want to do different weird shit in both games in the likely event that BratOK tells Strelok "yo, this dude has a good proxy hatch followed by a baneling bust". So really you want a player that stars in doing a lot of different weird shit. How is this not a job for CatZ?
