Mvp vs PartinG

Set 1
Set 2

Set 3:
Red T1 LG-IMMvp <Cloud Kingdom> Pink P7 ST_PartinG

Gasless barracks FE for Mvp, Gate -> Nexus -> Gas -> Core for PartinG

Mvp is poking with a marine and an scv, attacking a pylon on PartinG's lowground, but leaves when a zealot comes out.

5:00 Mvp adds 2 barracks (3 total) and 2 gas.
PartinG adds 2 gates (3 total) and a gas for a total of 2.

Mvp also adds on a tech lab.

6:00 Stim begins, a robotics begins.
OKAY FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE I SEE WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT

Even if it wasn't he probably would, people seem to forget how bad MVP's wrists are atm.

Seriously I don't buy this excuse. "His wrists are bad blabla" I doubt it. He had surgery to fix it? If the surgery wasn't successful he would try another one or stop playing and resting. I'm sure he is fine and it's just a bad excuse.

He is far from fine. His wrists are completely fucked and he hasn't had any real treatment yet. He is waiting until after GSL so he can rest and let them heal properly.

Excuse? Get the fuck out

excuse or not. Ts on the korean ladder have been relying on aggressive early-mid game play. Blizzard needs to fix this. Their philosophy of Ts requiring to pressure early-mid game to mitigate P late game advantage is silly.

Explain to me why it is silly in TvP and not silly in TvZ?

Because Protoss players want to be left alone for as long as it takes for them to roll you over in the lategame. c:

It's not in TvZ? There's your difference.

MVP does 1 base SCV all in = OMG BEST PLAYER EVERRRRRRRRRR

God I love this community.

There's a reason for that, you know.

MC's play over the last 2 years has consistently been about trying to discover new timings and then exploit them until people adapt to be able to defend them, then rinse and repeat. He's literally the ForGG of Starcraft 2.

MVP's play IS reactive to the current metagame and actual Protoss timings, but it is not his trademark playstyle in any way, hence he doesn't have that kind of a reputation.

I get it that you try to make it all about the races, but the majority of TL ain't Terran. I myself am a Protoss player, and I've cringed at MC's play since he first started getting results. -_-

Massive oversimplification of MC's play. What about the IEM Grand Finals, where he won and played standard every single game? What about his PvZ at the moment, which is good enough to 3-0 DRG, in which he defends roaches then Mutas then BL/Infestor before winning? What about his most recent PvPs against Parting, in which he went up to Mothership/VR/Colossus?

Every top player can play any kind of game at a reasonably high level, so yeah there's always going to be exceptions or he wouldn't be getting results consistently. That doesn't exactly negate his signature playstyle in PvZ and for the most part PvT.

Now MVP will play a macro game, Parting will maybe win it. MVP will next cheese again just like he did with Naniwa and will win and people will say he cheesed because he has no chance in late game, not because he actually meta games.
Mess with the best, die like the rest.

Because Blizzard's design philosophy is that Terrans essentially HAVE to cheese or do a massive or several timing attacks in order to win. Protoss max army controlled correctly will absolutely decimate a Terran max army.

Blizz themselves said that Terran are meant to do what Mvp is doing right now. That's pretty flawed.

I'm not sure if Parting has what it takes. He's looking very shaky. I might have to re-allocate my brotoss hopes to Hero.

I wish Artosis would do a little more build order analysis. Not a huge deal, I just feel like sometimes I miss what the timings and setup of player's builds are.
