On Saturday, May 19 32 players will stomp faces at MLG Spring Arena 2 in NY... but, 4 lucky players will be in Lyon, France
When the biggest electro music festival in Europe goes StarCraft...
4 top StarCraft 2 players will compete in Lyon, France on the 19th of May to win 5,000€. The event is part of Nuits-Sonores, an electro music festival which attracts about 80 thousand people each year and has received over 2500 artists from 50 different countries since its debut in 2003.
The event takes place in a concert venue, "Le Transbordeur", over the course of a single day. Starting with Best of 5 semi-finals, matches will be interspersed by dj sets from Bee records and artist Danger, and will culminate in a Best of 7 between the 2 finalists.
A lot of consideration has been put towards the show and the scene, especially regarding lighting and the player booths, in hopes of holding an event unlike any other.
French commentators Pomf & Thud will host at the venue while MrBitter and RotterdaM provide an english stream from an offsite location.
The 4 players
Jang "Moon" Jae Ho
Kim "MYM.MVPfinale" Kyung Deok
“Hello everyone, I am very pleased that I get the chance to participate to my first event outside of Korea. I will do my best and I will try to show the best of myself to the French public, I want to thank MYM, Razer and the organizers for the invitation.” – MYM.MVPfinale
“We are happy to send finale to this event. He is an awesome player with a really strong macro. We think he’s ready to show Europe what his name stands for. We appreciate the invitation and will be ready for it.” – Sebastian "falli" Rotterdam, MYM Coach
Benoît "Adelscott" Strypsteen France Fighting!
Pedro "LucifroN" Moreno Duran
First matches (bo5 semi-finals):
Fnatic Moon vs Millenium Adelscott Karont3 LucifroN vs MYM.MVPfinale
Starts: 16:00 CEST (10am EDT), May 19 (first match will start about half an hour in)
Jesus! These French events are so interesting. Love how they focus more on the live spectator's experience. Will be fun to see who the other players will be.
Oh, and Danger is fucking awesome, I've seen him live twice and he has impressed me both times. He's everything that's great about French electro.
Hopefully you guys will not make the same mistake as IronSquid - re-streaming the Eng game-stream which caused shuttering. Just have BitterdaM re-stream the french stream when it comes to the break time - some good live music i hope

BitterdaM will be in the game themselves so no worries, however we will not be able to stream the music performance live (there will be a video released after the event).
Moon vs. Adel is going to be a pleasure to watch. Adel won 2-1 last time they met online but since it's Bo5 I'm not sure he can do it. LucifroN should have some trouble against finale but he seems to be on fire lately (maybe uni is finished) and he is a better player.

Moon has such a sick Macro, but he is derping a lot of times, with questionable moves, reminds me to his occasional blackouts during WC3 , walking units in opposites armys, while having the sickest multi tasking of all WC3 players, mass expanding at several places at once
I don't think one result takes away from a year of excellence from ThorZaIN, especially since he so recently won a major tournament. It was 4-0 but the games were high level and at least 3 were really close from memory.
Luci definitely has the potential to claim the title of best terran in EU very soon though, he's that good.
LucifroN is talented, but hes not really attending a lot of tournaments. Lacking team support also doesnt make it possible for him to attend a lot of them.
Basically he always relys on Invitations, hope he finds a team soon tho.
It's like saying Basel is better than ManU because of what happened in the direct encounter. Europe #1 terran throne is not cheap, lucifron will have to work harder to earn that title. Btw, I prefer Lucifron to thorzain.

you are right but LucifroN won The Gathering as well, ThorZaIN was there too.

LucifroN's current team is capable to send him most of major tournaments.

He still needs a few more strong showings I think I really, really rate him though. Thorzain will have a hard time fending him off unless he dissappears again in a few months.

He did. He gave some sorta sketchy dude a ride, ended up in a bad part of town, guy went into house to get something, came back with a bag. They stopped somewhere else, he brought the bag inside and came back with an envelope. Bitter doesn't know what was in either the bag nor the envelope. And then they went to the tekken tournament :p

Hes still a LAN player, never was performing that well online (even in WC3)
Sorry but you can't really say he performed good in these matches... Adel was just playing so unbelievable badly.
LOL @ "brackets" :D
So MVP, MC and Bomber were also playing bad, when they faced off Moon on LAN ?
There is no doubt, that you cant judge Moon by his online matches for fnatic, which were quite uninspiring.
The point is that you compare these special matches against adel to his online performance. In this case adel played bad and i felt like moon was not up to topnotch play either - why do you suddenly tell me about his past achievements? o0
Didn't wanna step on your fanboy toes, ofc moon is quite a decent player (though not on top of his possibilities yet).
