Absolutely blows MLG, Dreamhack, IEM, GSL and NASL out of the water. Hosting a grand final inside a world-revered theater, with a live band, top-notch production quality, fantastic commentary, amazing graphics, wonderful audio... could not ask for more. Even if the players sucked (which they clearly don't), this is the new benchmark for all tournament organizers to match.
Well done, Iron Squid. Well done. I like how you charge for entry - makes for the highest production value. People should follow that business model... maybe just not $50 per entry though =P
Edit: I am watching the French stream only. dApollo and TB are my 2 favorites, but the French seriously know how to envoke emotion with commentary. Sounds beautiful even though I have no idea what they're saying.
The venue is amazing, but the quality of the streams are just... Well, not living up to what you're indicating. I wish it was though

btw what's the venue? that arena looks incredible!!
Let's see, it takes roughly five seconds to go through the list of upcoming premiere events on liquipedia and look at the dates. Not to mention Ironsquid has been going on for a while.
Though if I had to guess why stream viewers are lower than people expected it is because there isn't a foreigner competing.

Also, Dreamhack venue the other week was sick. They do have potential for the best tourneys imo, only lacking the players for it.

While I agree with the fact he overhyped the IronSquid tournament, you still have to know that Pomf&Thud are not a pro-gaming organization with millions of $ to be spent.
The $ <=> production valure seems to be pretty high when you think of what we've seen from major companies.

The events Ponf & Thud organize are generally not so focused on producing alot of game but little within a larger show (like OGaming) it's not the same objective at all.
