Could this be? the gap between the koreans and foreigners is shrinking?

No there is always 5-6 that boss it up with Koreans when they are playing well. Problem is 1000 koreans are better than avg foreigner pro so its bad odds.

Holy fricking production value!!!!

Most awesomest and most fitting music I have ever seen, really always at the spot, underlining every epic moment!
Free highest quality stream!
Awesome casters and interviewers, Apollo and Wolf doing a great job, and iNcontroL being so funny as always and making the intercections so much entertaining, also being a great great caster!
Most fitting overlays and designs!

Dreamhack is just killer! Great great entertainment, guys! That's how a StarCraft tourney has to be like. You are state-of-the-art!

YEs! Its was definitely amazingly done :D I would have prefered a slightly different casting line up but other than that the event was pretty much perfect. AND IT WAS FREE TO WATCH!!! :D

Sigh hating myself a little for going to sleep after Ret v Polt due to being sure that Monster would 2-0 Thorzain, on the other hand if I stayed up that would have meant 2 hours sleep but maybe it would have been worth it still...

Anyway congrats Thorzain on a job well done, honestly didn't think you would get back up there to the top.

With this win, I think Thorzain will be offered a Code S seed for Season 3.

Season 2 ends on May 19, so Season 3 will be soon after.
In terms of large tournaments, there's still Spring Arena 2 in that time. If TZ does well there (~top 4?) he should get the seed, I say. DH by itself isn't that much, he didn't take out thatttt many top-tier koreans/foreigners.

Congrats to Thorzain! Nice that he was able to take such a big tourney in his home country.

Overall Dreamhack was pretty good, the production was fantastic and I liked how they outsourced a lot of their streaming to smaller parties in order to show as much games as possible. On the flipside, there weren't that many pro players and the first two groupstages felt a bit abundant. They could also use a beter schedule for the first 2 days to make it easier to see who is streaming what games.

Thorzain is a foreigner. Let's face it: That plus him winning a premier event essentially locks him a seed unless another foreigner wins Arena 2.

Stephano is pretty much confirmed as a seed, and if TZ does well in Arena 2 i think he'll be one as well.
However, if MKP, MMA, DRG fall out of code S (ie can't make it back) for some reason, they should get the seed over TZ I think? They weren't averse to bringing Polt back in.
Violet's a possibility if he wants the seed (and is a zerg too).

Oh, and I forgot Iron Squid. If Symbol wins that... maybe him?

Also, I am not sure TZ would be willing to live in Korea for 2 months for Code S. Although he has gone to Korea for training before, it is still not 100%. Guess we will see once they still contacting foreigners for seeds.

Has Thorzain mentioned any plans to go to Korea? He could possibly compete in the up & downs but I don't know if he's Code S level.

Maybe if the system were completely nationality-blind. But if that were so, Hero and Puma would have gotten seeds in Season 1 over Idra and Sen. At this point, I think Thorzain will be offered a seed 90%, but him taking it is a different story.

By whom? Pure speculation or there's been an official word?

Speculation, since he announced on twitter he'd be going to KR in about a month and a half to train - which is right when GSL 3 starts
