Try to learn about the players before bashing them. Calling sLivko 'fodder' makes you look dumb.

Agreed, but its still suprising to him loose, when he has beaten seemingly higher calibre players.

lose*

Anyway Slivko has actually been playing great lately, I wouldn't say it's all that surprising. Sure, Nani is still expected to win, but I'm hardly taken aback by him losing.

POO-ma is etymologically correct, but the pronunciation expected from the spelling is PYOO-ma (see for instance pure, pupil, compUter)

Dear Americans,

We also find it equally annoying when you pronounce Puma as Pooma.

The fact that different countries pronounce things differently is a pet peeve? It's not Apollo being quaint, it's just how you pronounce it here. Trust me, the American way sounds just as silly to us as the British way does to you...

Dont forget that the whole world revolves around AMERICA!!

He's not exactly Code S level

What exactly is Code S level? He's good enough to beat the very best players on Europe and NA, also beat Polt, Symbol and many others in tournaments. He barely lost to SuperNoVa in IEM when he had the game won etc. Do I think Naniwa is the better player? Yes, would totally agree.

If consistency is Code S level for you, Naniwa isn't either. He can take down the very best, but he sometimes does lose to players that are called 'inferior' to him... so, what is Code S level exactly is my question to you?

I just don't think sLivko deserves any bashing for taking down Naniwa, just because there's the chance Naniwa played poorly. Even a good player can have a bad day and consistency should always play a role in terms of how good you are rated.

Additionally, we've seen lots of Code S players lose to 'inferior' players before. Oz losing a map to Scarlett. Zenio losing to DemusliM. NesTea losing to DemusliM. MMA losing to TitaN. I would be very careful before calling someone clear favorite and better, because you can easily lose a game in Starcraft 2 if your opponent has a certain level.

Do you think the foreign players have so much less knowledge about the game? Possibly not, they are good enough to execute strategies and take games of the Code - S level players, even if not most of the time. Thats what makes the Code S level players usually BETTER, but saying someone is Code S level and someone is not, is just a very vague statement.
CommentatorPolt | MMA | Jjakji | BoxeR | NaDa | MVP | MKP ... truly inspiring.

I don't know why people are surprised by Nani's results. His biggest weakness is vZ and he didn't play a single Zerg in this Gsl season. I remember him going 0-6 against FxoLucky like three times in a row.

Not Code S does not equal "fodder"....

He's not a good player compared to Naniwa. There we go.

Nani vs. one of europes strongest Zergplayers? I think Nerchio is on a even higher level than sLivko.
