You and me (and loads of other people) both. TvP is too much bashing armies into each other and not enough positional play. The crazy advantage swings between one race and the other depending on how far into the game you get make it even worse. Plus Protoss is boring.
Watch SuperNova vs Genius, Game 2.
Not enough positional play my arse. As the players get better, the matchup will look better.
Plus: nukes.

T.T oh my sad zerg
well MVP gets through and great job hero

MVP's brute force TvZ has always been a joy to watch. Happy he made it to the ro8, but It's a shame we're gonna have to watch what looks like lots of TvP the rest of the tournament.

The most likely course the ro8 takes is 3 TvPs and a PvP.

Hey guys,
I actually never used the GOM TV page and didn't follow GSL at all besides results, so please forgive me my nescience - but why can't I find the Leenock - MVP match at the VOD section? Now, what I found was this: http://www.gomtv.net/2012gsls2/vod/?order=1<ype=32&stype=1
Have you, who already watched the VODs, a premium account or something like that so you can watch the VODs earlier? Or are some of the VODs for premium users only?
Could someone please enlighten me? Thx in advance. :D

Thats the reason a lot of players' PvT and PvZ looked so strong the last couple of seasons =P
Joking aside though, there was a small period where Protoss started to pick their numbers up and terran players looked lost because they only needed to 1-1-1 for so long they forgot how macro play worked. You could make an argument that only some terran players actually understand late game TvP based on the fact that there were so few successful Protoss mid-late last year that they didn't get to the late game enough.
So maybe? But it is only this one season, and Code A is still littered with very strong zerg players.

Or the arguement could be made that the 1-1-1 just masked some of the late game TvP issues that were always there but not many games got to that point. We are beginning to see terrans trying new things to combat this (early 3rd, pfs, nukes, etc). Now whether they work or not. We will have to see more games. Maybe some changes to late game are needed or maybe not. With many many TvPs coming up this season, we should get a pretty good idea. Remember also that maps also play a critical role. If you look at the GSL TvPs this season, did any terran even try 1-1-1? One reason is that Protosses are dealing with it well but I think maps are a big factor as well. A lot of the 1-1-1 'friendly' maps are no longer in play.

Nanis PvT is actually alot stronger than his PvZ. His PvLeenock is absurdly good, though. lol mlg prov Well NaNi's PvZ came a long way since then, he was literally a one-trick pony in PvZ. He never was a one-trick pony -_- . Almost every protoss in the worlds goes ffe or nexus first every single PvZ, i never understood why people called Naniwa predictable for doing it.
Because he did a very specific greedy variant of it into the same collosus allin build every time. FFE is standard. His FFE was riskier and had delayed scouting, which allowed the roach bust to wreck him, especially as he did not adapt the build after Leenock rushed him multiple times.

brute force? usually it's a chess-like strategical macro game! I do admit that last game was pretty scrappy but I'm assuming he chose that heavy 2-base style of play due to the map being relatively zerg-friendly

Yes, I assume you are talking about the Dual Sight game. That map does not lend itself to a fast third from terrans. So most terrans will tech on 2 bases and pressure to delay/kill zerg's third before trying to expand themselves with planetary.

I'm a zerg and bought a season 2 ticket to watch zerg games Look how it turned out :/ I also believe this game is a bit unfair to zerg players..
