Sorry I have to disagree, while Idra is not the top foreigner like he used to be a long time ago. He still is among the group you mentioned. I´d argue the only one that stands out more of the top foreigners is Stephano all three of the named foreign zergs there are far, far, far superior to idra and have been for a while. he's not in the same league. he's a 2nd tier almost 3rd tier foreign zerg atm

In most cases they would feel offended. It's still true that GSL level play is only brought by GSL players, whatever tournament they're in. It's also true that because of the format, most GSL caliber players play a lot better on the GSL, which means the GSL is the highest level in SC2. Foreigner only tournaments are usually really bad in comparison, though they do have some entertainment value. No, you see 'GSL' level play without Koreans. But yes, a tournament with a week to prepare will obviously show play with a different level of refinement than a weekend tournament. But being strong in GSL format /= being strong in weekend tournament format.

Yes, but he always wins the second game of the series, then loses the third.

His ZvT is top 3 foreigner - a bit worse than Stephano, but around the same as Ret and Sheth, and he is able to take excellent games. His ZvP, however, is full of tilts and game sense losses. His ZvZ is good. Around the same level as the other top foreigner Zergs.
