Compare it to tennis, every major tournament gives some wildcards to local players or past favorites.


He's not hating but writing reasonable arguments. The tennis WC are for the First Round of a huge tournament. This would be equivalent to the first Round of Code A, not Code S.


GOMTV is a profit seeking company. They should not focus at all what is fair for the players. They should think how can they get highest numbers of viewers possible. Clad they know what they are doing.

There's another issue. It's REALLY hard for foreigners to get to Korea and then get the proper situation they need to get into Code S the standard way. They don't speak the right language, they're not used to the culture, and hell, there are even issues with racism. Foreign tournaments are generally open-entry and are over such short periods of time that anyone can hop in easily, but GSL just doesn't work in the same way. Foreigners need some help in order to even be able to enter in the first place, and that's where the seeds come in.


No, it has nothing to do with that at all. GOM wants more subscriptions so they give out charity spots.

Because foreign tournaments don't give charity spots to koreans amirite?


Inviting the best players to compete at your foreign tournament isn't a charity spot.

I don't understand what's weird about Mvp winning TvP, he has 0 recorded TvP games in 2012, no one knew his TvP condition, it could be his best matchup now for all we know.


Everyone loves to call his tvp shit for whatever reason, even though it's always been pretty decent. Never looked as nice as his tvt or tvz but he always found ways to win.


Well, MVP did get beat by Alicia and Genius in the March 2011 Up and Down matches and thus got knocked into Code A for a bit, which did cause some cries over him slumping due to bad TvP. Although he did do a good job of clawing his way back into Code S, I guess memories of that time still linger.

Hence my suggestion to make the decision much more stellar by making a public ranking system which also automatically should remove whining about why player A who won tournament B was invited instead of player C who won tournament D.

Assuming you're not talking about having a public opinion poll, which is obviously a terrible idea (which foreigner did best in the most recent tournament? He's going to Code S!), then I think you'd find that people would just start bitching about the ranking system instead.

If you open up Ethan's tweet you can see that it was in reply to Wullull, but no tweet shows up. That means Wullull sent a message to Ethan and deleted it after he replied to it. It was probably something bad manner and justifying of that response, knowing Naniwa's fans

Mvps probably been focusing on tvp hardcore cos i know ive been the other matchups tvt and tvz are pretty well balanced but tvp seems just so unfair. I hate losing to lesser skilled protoss go MVP! That was so awesome MVP fighting!
