Regarding the smurf allegations that have been brought up in this thread, it is my understanding that Neurosis never actually admitted to cheating. When the problem initially arose, he agreed that he should be placed in gold. Smurfing implies intentionally tanking ones account to take advantage of players with lesser experience. If Neurosis was not able to prove to the admins that the account belonged to a friend who tanked it when he began playing SC2, he would be removed from the team and the CTL completely. He was able to provide sufficient evidence to HowLiN, and has been given the go-ahead to continue participating.

The problem then arises that even if he never intentionally cheated, he is definitely too skilled to play in the bronze league, which is where his account was when he entered the CTL. This is fixed rather easily by having him play in Gold.

Finally, there is the issue with his behavior towards other players. This is very serious, and I have talked to Neurosis and he agrees that it is absolutely unacceptable, regardless of circumstances. The blame is not only on Neurosis, as several members of my team have behaved in ways that reflect poorly on the team, albeit to a lesser extent. Needless to say they have all been warned of their behavior.

I have gotten to know these people very well over only a few weeks. We talk on skype often, and I see aspects of their personalities that unfortunately most are unaware of. When your only interaction with Neurosis is BM and sarcastic posts, I understand the reaction of 'why is this guy even in the league?'. Please extend me the benefit of the doubt when I say that he deserves a chance to prove that he is more than that.

Our team has worked very hard in this league, and I would hate to have our name tarnished with BM and cheating. I do not want our position in this league to be considered illegitimate, and will be watching closely to make sure that there are no more problems.
