You still have to follow some of your native country's various laws even in a different country.

For example, you could still probably be prosecuted for various child sex crimes even in another country (and there are people who do this).

I'd measure it with the players you beat. Beating DongRaeGu convincingly is a very compelling argument no matter what.

However, GSL is still different and in my opinion matters more, if only because of the fact that with the format you have far more preparation time for that specific matchup, whereas MLG is LAN and is hence much less about the preparation. That's the main difference(along with the competition of course), the prize money doesn't matter for this.

Tassadar, easily. They sent him before as ace against Prime and got crushed. They had Sage and San still left. Choya had actually done well in the GSTL while Tassadar was like 0-2 all-time.

But gambling is more like drinking. Drinking is usually the laws of the area your in. As in I drive to Canada and drink at age 19 and it isn't a crime.

Choya had some justification in doing what he did (and clearly his organization thought so too) unless I learn that Tassadar is actually Flash's SC2 smurf playing him as ace makes no sense.

I said SOME laws, not all. Your government can still prosecute you for some crimes you do in other countries even if you weren't under local jurisdiction. But they usually only bother with the ones that are worth their time and effort and money.
