DRG won Code S, more prestigious than both MLGs combined.

dunno about both combined, but Code S definitly >>>> MLG......that's why MKP must win Code S this season to prove his dominance beyond any doubt!

Code S Prize Money alone is worth more than 2 MLG 5k 1st Prize. Don't know how much the Arenas are though.

MKP got 25k for the winter championships, they increased the prize pool a lot this year.

Championship = 25k
Arena = 10k
GSL 1st = ~45k

therefore gsl > 2 mlgs!

Am I the only one who thinks that prize money doesn't mean shit when talking about which player is better?

No, I think a lot of us agree with you, but people like to argue these things, and having numbers makes your point look more powerful, even if it really isn't. How do you measure a GSL title against and MLG Arena and Championship? You can't -- but people want to, which is fair.

Wha seriously? Not that I advocate gambling or anything but that seems to be stretching their legal powers too far.

You still have to follow some of your native country's various laws even in a different country.

For example, you could still probably be prosecuted for various child sex crimes even in another country (and there are people who do this).

Disclaimer: I am not saying that child prostitution is on the same level as gambling. It is simply the first one that came to mind.
You should not have to pay to watch the GSL, Proleague, or OSL at a reasonable time. That is not "fine" and it's BS to say otherwise. My sig since 2011. http://www.youtube.com/user/dabom88

I'd measure it with the players you beat. Beating DongRaeGu convincingly is a very compelling argument no matter what.

However, GSL is still different and in my opinion matters more, if only because of the fact that with the format you have far more preparation time for that specific matchup, whereas MLG is LAN and is hence much less about the preparation. That's the main difference(along with the competition of course), the prize money doesn't matter for this.

Tassadar, easily. They sent him before as ace against Prime and got crushed. They had Sage and San still left. Choya had actually done well in the GSTL while Tassadar was like 0-2 all-time.

But gambling is more like drinking. Drinking is usually the laws of the area your in. As in I drive to Canada and drink at age 19 and it isn't a crime.

Choya had some justification in doing what he did (and clearly his organization thought so too) unless I learn that Tassadar is actually Flash's SC2 smurf playing him as ace makes no sense.
