Hmm, getting a forfeit win over Stephano is huge for It'sGosu. They just need to win 1 to force to an ace match, and maybe could win outright.

ostojiy probably made sure dde got the forfeit win for his opponent showing up late

..........once again stephano not showing up for something important :\

sure it is. maybe he didn't feel like playing this particular match "for his team" was important? once again, that's relative. importance is always relative don't pretend like it's not! <3

It wasn't one time he didn't show up for the match vs DDE, there was multiple times, each with DDE waiting for over an hour at a time after. We really didn't want to FF him, hes a great player.

with Stephano forfeiting, i guess it's 3-1 to Millenium
|
Prepare your cheesecake folks because I predict Millenium to lose.
Hwangsin > Feast : Feast is a top PvP player, it's not quite like his very aggressive PvT but it's a matchup he has a good handle on. Now we all now what Hwangsin will do, probably a 4gate into DT into hidden expand. Not likely ? Well let's say if ReaL is a creative PvPer, Hwangsin is his doppelganger if slightly cheesier. Feast is traditionally weak online. So Hwangsin should win 2-1. If Hwangsin plays a "standard" game, Feast will crush him.
ViBe > Dragon : I am not a believer of Dragon yet. It doesn't mean I don't like him, I do, but he isn't a good terran. He certainly has a will to succeed (as shown by his intention to move into Millenium's house in a country where nobody speaks english a good as he does) still it's too early. I don't know what ViBe is doing right now but I'm certain he can pull 2 wierd builds out of his hat and win.
DDE > Stephano : Yeah. We all know how this would have happen. In EGMCS V the admins were allegedly terrible and a lot of default win weren't given. This season they seem more strict. Good to see. I thought Bokura would have made sure Stephano would play but this kid is one of a kind.
Ostojiy < Adelscott : Traditional weakness of Adelscott particularly when he plays from home (where his connection is too bad to force-field ^^) Still he should win against a much weaker Ostojiy.
So 3-1 for GoSu.
|
Figured Millenium had it easily until I saw that Stephano was missing in action (this isn't the first time, right?), so now I'm at least rooting that It's Gosu takes the win, just because they at least take the series more seriously.
Hopefully It's Gosu wins 3-1 or 3-2 (via ace match). This is pretty much their only shot to pull out the win, with Stephano not playing.
|
Feast and Adel win. Feast wins ace match.

Ahhhh stephano.. you never change ahhaha

I'm going to quote Adelscott here and say that Stephano's persona (the player not the person) is created to look self-assured. That's what the person needs in order to win. He is a shy guy, at IPL3 he was denying autographs to people which should tell you something about the level of wierd he has attained. But Stephano needs that inner confidence in order to win.
Stephano is not a team player, you will not see him advocate his team as the best one. Still Millenium is probably the best team for him because they allow him a certain freedom to do as he pleases because they know him well (he played for them when he was 14-ish).
Stephano is like a lone ranger, a elit unit whose purpose is to wreak havoc without having to be monitored 24/7.

No offense, but that sounds like a total cop out.
If Stephano doesn't want to play in a team match, then have another player take his spot. At least the other player would show up and play, which increases the chance of Millenium winning that set from "impossible, due to forfeit" to "possible, if not probable".
So what if Stephano is shy? Some people are. That's a given. That doesn't mean he should let down his fans and team by not showing up to a team match. It's not like if he plays, he has to sign a hundred autographs afterwards, and that's something he's not ready to do yet because of his personality.
Again, Millenium should have four people who are willing to actually play the matches. I don't know if it's managerial incompetency or yet another controversial thing that Stephano in particular has done, but it's getting kind of old. (And don't get me wrong, if any player mirrors this same attitude or track record, I'll be just as quick to point out how sad that person is as well. It just so happens that Stephano has already done this before, not to mention other things in the past.)
EDIT: Just to clarify, I hope Stephano has a reasonable excuse for not playing. However, in the past, Stephano and Millenium have forfeited for some of the most ridiculous reasons ever (like "not feeling like playing" or "wanting to sleep"). I guess we'll have to wait to hear what the reason was this time.

I dunno, until I have a reason to assume otherwise I'm just going to assume the games were played while Stephano was flying back to France from Columbus and that either Mill or Stephano just didn't catch that until it was too late.

No-one likes a no-show. This does happen though. Let's not pretend that it is only Stephano who does not turn up. Kas and DdDoro missed their games last round in EG MCSL. Millenium are only in this Tournament due to a couple of Team's cancelling participation. Stephano himself has already won 6 games out of 6 (including Ace matches and the rescheduled JYP games) for his team in EG MCSL prior to this no-show. Over the course of the entire MCSL series, Stephano will prove much more beneficial to his team's chances of finishing amongst the prize-money.
If Stephano could not make the game, he should have notified his team and his opponent ahead of time. Sometimes you have a clash but this must be communicated.

Well Stephano played JYP last week. Cannot remember exact day, maybe Tuesday before MLG. Stephano was streaming then he hit InControl on the Ladder. Then Stephano played 4 custom games against JYP at JYP's request. I assumed it was EG MCSL. These games against JYP were with InControl, Idra, DeMuslim, Bling and Machine all observing at various times. These games between JYP and Stephano were simultaneously streamed by JYP, InControl and Stephano! So Stephano played 4 consecutive games against JYP and won all 4. I assumed 2 were the rescheduled Master's Cup games. Maybe not. Millenium had won 3-0 already against EG so the outcome was moot for JYP - Stephano in terms of EG MCSL.
It was only an hour or so after these games, that InControl and Idra heavily praised Stephano on that week's Inside the Game show.
|
Hmm - Stephano disappeared after MLG. AFAIK no one has said where he is. He had a fall-out with Millennium's manager just prior to the tournament over the Millennium Cup, but wasn't fazed about it during the ITG interview. I think there's a bit of drama boiling. When were these games played?

He's in england with Bling, and just start to ladder after 4 days of inactivity.
Games were played last week, IMO, he just forgot to play these games, that would not be surprising.

Yup, seems so weird, especially when the matches are scheduled ahead(?). Millenium does have other players as well(DieStar and LaLush).

when eg dont field huk, idra, puma and jyp every week in every cup, no one questions the players choice to not want to win the money, but millenium dont have a replacement to send and everyone shits on stephano ;d

That's at least 3 possible replacements.
There is a big difference in not fielding the best players and not showing up for a match. Obviously mistakes happen. Issues like these are to be expected once in a while and are excusable to some extent, but it has become quite common for Stephano to ditch engagements like these for very weak reasons.
Huk hates playing with lag and is rarely fielded by EG despite him being a great player, but EG just chooses a replacement even if that replacement is LZ, machine, Incontrol or some other player with arguably much lower probability of winning. If they announce that Huk will play, then Huk will play (there may be one or two exceptions I'm not recalling, but that is the exception rather than the rule).
This unprofessional shit just hurts the image of both Stephano and Mill. I don't know how much Stephano cares about his image as it is still plenty intact to be invited to everything he wants to attend, but Mill should definitely care about their image especially considering how easily avoidable this is.
|
Stephano does not care, and he certainly doesn't do it on purpose, that's the way he is.
You guys have to stop with your "profesional bullshit", he is just a kid having fun, as he should, and delivering amazing content (when he plays of course) to the community.

OK, thanks for explaining that.
At this point, we don't know the reason for Stephano's no-show. Let's wait and see before rushing to conclusions.

They should start sending in Lalush instead of Stephano. He's 10x better than him. As proof, he beat Stephano 3-0 at MaXlan. Also he has much better hair, especially his mustache.

I'm hoping to see Vibe get a win over Dragon. He is capable. Hwangsin vs Feast should be a good match. Ostojiy vs Adelscott seems interesting to me too. Neither stand out in their regions, and I haven't see much of Adel recently.

Just a kid having fun? You realize that this is his job right, and that Millenium is an organization based around a profit motive and not just some little club people hang out in? The fact that he continually does things like this just shows how immature he is. It's amazing how many excuses people will make for Stephano, just because he's a good player. If he really is going into medical practice within the next year then he needs to fix his mindset because stuff like this will get you canned immidietly.

Azael is insanely good caster, well spoken and I cant tell which race he plays from his casting (which you can do from 99% of casters bias ) and knows every matchup and strategies, looking forward seeing him casting on LAN's soon.

And just like that It's Gosu will at least take it to the Ace match. I feel like they will take a win before then out of the 2 next matches.

Stream down for anyone else? I'm getting the live icon but just a black screen after that =/ .

Nice, It'sGosu just needs to win one more and they win.

Does Dragon....practice ever? Seems like his mechanics are really flawed

I'm really disappointed by Dragon's play. Somehow he just has no units...

Wow... I went back to studying since Vibe had this game lost... but apparently not? :O GG Vibe. GG It's Gosu.

Dragon's just out of practice. He needs time.

Dragon needs to stop smurfing in platinum and actually practice properly -_- .

Whoo Vibe! And they say NA doesn't have much talent...

Ahhh.. :D
GoSu wins 3-0
Where's all the haters from the front page.
Edit: 4-0

Too bad Stephano can't bring his team back....like a lot people said in this thread tho....not important at all

Azael is a boss caster. This guy is awesome!

Feel like Adelscott is lagging a lot, lot of misplaced FF. Felt sorry for the probes being walled out of the main lol.

I feel like he was talking over Machine constantly, barely letting him even get a word in. And that's pretty unfortunate, when there is a pro zerg player casting a zerg match up it's a pretty damn good chance to learn something interesting, doesn't happen when he doesn't get a chance to speak though.

yes, i do mean it's gosu. they are an average team...
an abusive terran who doesn't hotkey buildings
a mechanically talented zerg who's play is uninspiring
a run of the mill korean who all-ins every single game
and a bunch of cheesers.
they're really not that good. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't win another series in the EGMCSL. I'm surprised they even qualified

One, way to miss the point of his post, and two: how is Millenium any better? Even with Stephano they've never had any significant results in team leagues whatsoever.
edit: They're good enough to beat Millenium apparentely

if you just compare the results they have betweent them... stephano beats them all by himslef by restults feast has better results than anyone of team itsgosu afaik and adelscott has done very well in the past and he is still good just not as active in the international scene anymore

Also, as far as not being able to tell what race I play - that's likely to do with the fact that I've now played all 3 races pretty equally :D I tend to go on a gaming spree where I'll play infinity hours of video games for a while then get too busy to play sc2 for a month or two and every time I come back I seem to be playing a new race so it's pretty fun and you get to understand the difficulties that all races face which is pretty fun ^^

I'm still planning on playing WoW, I do love SC2, but I also love WoW! I had a few opportunities to try going pro w/ SC2 but honnestly I didn't think I could handle the training regimen at this point in my life (just to be clear this isn't me saying I've ever been pro level - because I haven't!). I wouldn't want to give it a go unless I thought I stood a legitimate chance at being one of the best in the world and realistically I knew I wouldn't want to put in enough time to even find out if that was within the realm of possibility. I love watching SC2 and I absolutely love e-sports so being involved in the game in any way is a real gift for me - I've been extremely lucky with e-sports so far and I've pretty much just always gone with the flow and kept doing whatever felt right as long as I was enjoying myself ^^
If a great opportunity comes up to have a solid career casting SC2 full time it's definitely something I'll consider - but as for now I still consider myself a WoW pro and will continue to play it for sure :D Also, I defintely cut Bryce off but as I discussed with him I feel like both casters have to be comfortable cutting each other off in order to point out things the other may be missing, and then we can return to finish our initial point after the more important action / event etc etc has finished! I will defintely keep it in mind and continue to do my best to bring the pros into the casts more because as we all know - that's who we're really interested in hearing from - I'm just the facilitator for the cast and am there to hopefully make their lives easier ^^

I predicted GoSu to win it and they deliver with the only surprise coming from Adel who might have played from home (as I said he always complains to have tremendous lag from home whether it's true or not, it will have an influence on how the game goes in a PvZ reliant on FF). Now Millenium is still a better team than GoSu overall. Cheesing and all-inning your way to victory can only get you so far and let's be honest here, it's was GoSu trademark for a long time. How am I a "troller"? (you do realize thats not even a word right? The correct conotation would be troll) Because I don't worship the ground Stephano walks upon? If that's the case then I'm not sure you understand the concept of trolling then, because if I really was a troll as you say I would have assuredly been permanently banned a long time ago.
