He did for the most part last season. I'd just say Genius is a better Protoss than MC. He played much tighter and with less exploitable builds when it really came to the crunch last season.
You have to remember the only people MKP lost to last season were the finalists of the whole thing.
Form-wise he might even be the best Terran in the world right now.

DRG has recently destroyed MC, Parting, Huk, Naniwa, Genius and JYP on LAN.
Stephano has spectacular ZvP but he's not competed against that level of Protoss recently.
