Just load up any particular stream and there's a timeline, you can jump to any time you want from the entire broadcast.

So who can actually take Stephano on in a straight up zvt? I'd really like to see him against MMA, MVP or jjakji. Not taking any credit away from Polt, but it seems like if you let Stephano macro up he will just overrun you. I think he has BETTER infestor control/BL/late game army control than ANY zerg right now, including DRG. And he shuts down drops fairly easily plus likes to play safe with spines.

Any Code S terran can take stephano in macro games, including Polt.
One perfect example would be alive, who is undefeated against stephano, and all the games weren't even close.

I would say overall I agree with you, but Stephano has more than shown that he can stand toe to toe with Polt. I wouldn't so easily write him off. Yes, he did lose, but he lost in a pretty great series.

Yeah Polt and Stephano are pretty evenly matched, but I really don't think Polt vZ is that good for the standard of Code S. His TvZ actually ranks 18th in Korean TLPD, not really spectacular.

I agree that there are stronger terrans vs Z but i can't name 18 better ones then Polt right now, TLPD is great but it only says overall points not the current play.

Polt's TvZ is his weak point, but he has vastly improved from where he was a while ago. He faced Leenock in Code S not too long ago and was able to go 1-1 against him, beat Nestea in the Blizzard Cup, etc. MMA, MVP (when he has wrists) and MKP are way better vZ, but Polt's pretty damn good at it.

I wouldn't mind seeing Alive vs. Stephano. That could be a good gauge of how good Stephano is and how good Polt's vZ is.

Polt is shaky vs. Stephano in macro games because he never prepares for brood lords and refuses to use ghosts.

Ghosts? Really? No top terran has used ghosts against BL/infestor since the nerf, because they're horrible. The only time I've seen them post patch is Morrow using them specifically for nukes. With no ghosts, Terran is NEVER prepared for blords. The only solution is vikings, but it is not a real solution because they get fungaled and killed off by corruptors easily. The only reason Polt won that first match is because Stephano only made 4 broodlords for whatever reason. If he had the typical 8+ number, Polt's surround move would've never worked.

If only there was a Terran unit that could easily kill or neutralize the infestors so the vikings could kill the broodlords without getting fungaled!

Siege tanks aren't that great even with good positioning and the best target fire because they stand to bombard your own army if broodlings land. Not to mention their supply/resources and linear production greatly lowers their efficiency against infestors.

Ghosts used to do that, but both Infestors and Broodlords counter them pretty hard these days.

i've been noticing lately, and Polt did this in game 1, its better to keep your siege tanks unsieged so there is no splash damage on your own units. their dps is high in tank mode and they are decent against the broodlings while your thors shot the broodlords.

Absolutely rooting for Stephano to go on a crazy streak and end up Championship Bracket on Sunday. Le Fatigue though, it's tough.

no... most posts talked about it negatively.

I for one am getting pretty tired of watching him cheese every single game and drawing the easiest groups in tournaments.

I'm trying to watch yesterday's sc2 vods on http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/live but the image quality is stuck to low and I can't seem to change it (tested it both through chrome and IE). It was fine during the live yesterday (medium quality was great and I guess I can't go much higher with a 350k/s connection) but the rebroadcast is stuck to low and really hurts the eye so it's almost unwatchable. When I click on "low" (bottom right corner of the player), the pop up supposed to let me choose image quality appears but as soon as I move my mouse to change it, the menu disappears..... so I can never click on medium. Is this a common issue ? Is it because VODs are only available in low quality for non paying customers ? Is it because of my pc/connection ? If not, is there a keyboard shortcut to change image quality ?
Thanks for any help you might bring....

If Stephano really thinks he's a good player and can compete, why doesn't he challenge himself and also shut up the doubters by going to Korea?

He likes talking about not needing Korean experience/practice, yet he doesn't want to show the world he can compete with the true best.

He has talked about going to Korea for another visit.

Still, I can understand perfectly why there are foreigners that don't want to live in Korea. There is more to life than proving that you can "compete with the true best" to some random nerds on a message board.

Stephano doesn't like pressure.

1. If he fails at any tourney at sc2, he can always say "meh, I wasn't really that serious anyway". It's a ready made excuse.

2. If he doesn't go to Korea for a long time in the first place, he can't really fail there. People will sing his praises and say "if he had gone he would own I know it".

I love his play, I love the man, I am so so disappointed at his decision. He's so ready, he's so skilled, why doesn't he go His results thus are clouded with uncertainty by fans and haters alike

Because the kid is smart and knows his future is going to be secure with a good education and job as a physician. I mean, I would love to see him continue to hone his craft and learn to dominate elsewhere too, but he knows what's best for his life (and honestly, it is the better decision)

This is why I will always respect and like Naniwa more than Stephano, even though I think Stephano is better. Naniwa is passionate about the game and wanting to be the best. There are a few foreigners that seem to really want to be the best: Naniwa, Jinro, Morrow, im sure I am missing a bunch but their mindset compared to someone like Stephano or Idra who obviously doesn't enjoy the game is like black and white.

I kinda miss the generic rock music.. The techno itself isn't that bad.. but god, the really blatant distortions are annoying, especially in one of the songs.

1st: a win is a win is a win
2nd: Protoss do 2 base timings or early cannon/zealot or they lose if they dont do damage somehow
3rd: how the hell are you shitting on Ret(Who has been dominating lately ESPECIALLY against protoss players(beating naniwa and others to win the red bull)), violet who always ends up near the top and is a good Korean who just has no interest in GSL, and Socke who is one of the top foreign protoss. Would you rather have him in group D so he can own the others in PvP and then you can complain that he only wins PvP and ez brackets etc?

Huk cleaned his group up so far. Stop being bitter.

Hope he feels better for tomorrow! (Well, technically today...)

Why did Stephano have to get such a hard open bracket? I'm not sure he has the stamina to go all the way through the losers. He should have gotten a pool spot gods damnit. We all know it. I REALLY wanted to see him pitted against Nani. Now it looks like there wont be a chance but there is always hope.
