Fnatic presents the second StarCraft 2 tournament powered by RaidCall. Featuring $1,500 in prize-pool as well as hardware from MSI and EIZO.
The first RaidCall Invitational StarCraft 2 tournament took place in the beginning of March and had sixteen of Europe's finest players in attendance. With the prize pool reaching $1500, and with players such as ToD, SjoW, TitaN and Grubby signed-up, the tournament was expected to have a fantastic outcome - and the expectations were met. The Russian player from Team RoxKIS, TitaN managed to finish on top of the podium, taking home a total of $1,000.
RaidCall Invitational #2 will feature an all-Korean roster, with some of Korea's finest players in attendance.
ToD will not be playing due to organising and administration of the competition.

The tournament will be played in a single elimination mode and the player who finishes on top will receive $1200 in cash. March 18 will feature games up until quater-finals, with 8 remaining players. Games will resume on 19th at an offline final in the brand new Fnatic Gaming house which will be officialy launched on stream.
Prize Fund
1st - $1,200
2nd - $300 + EIZO Monitor
3rd - MSI Z68A-G45 (G3) & MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II OC V2
The RaidCall Invitational #2 will take place between 18th-19th March. Will Leenock repeat his MLG Providence-success? Will Moon get some revenge from Assembly Winter? Will Oz be able to once again impress the audience as he did at the MLG Winter Arena 2012 tournament? A lot of questions will be answered soon. One thing is for certain even today. It will be an interesting tournament to follow, not only because of the strong field of players, but also because Khaldor will be streaming the whole tournament.
All additional details will be added to this post and via the Fnatic site.

Damn this invitational has a pretty stacked lineup. 8+ code S players with a few statuses pending O_O plus some people that are definitely top tier level that just arent in code s right now. Holy shit. Good thing I have to work during spring break so I'll have nothing better to do (I guess that's a plus?)

CoCa should of used the queens to block the ramp ... I'm surprised CoCa didn't notice the sound difference of there being only one marine in the bunker (maybe I'm wrong on this) or perhaps was afraid of getting hit with a marauder with concussive and just wanted to make Noblesse feel like he has to stay in his base.

I know TLO used the overlord creep spread to have a forward creep tumor and aggressively push against his opponent, but I'm not sure if it was his idea / did it first in a casted match / popularized it... it is TLO though, I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

coca is so dead. A maxed out terran just sends 15 supply 3/3 bio to kill zergs hatches and this is almost unstopable. Even if it takes 2 or 3 attempts to kill one hatch, it is totally worth it for the terran.

Very impressive display by Noblesse. It's almost like he has a separate monitor for every contingent of his units, he's so aware of each drop he does.

I feel like CranK actually could of punished aLive earlier by staying and harassing earlier with his collossus. It'll be interesting to see how CranK continues to perform in the rest of this series and in future events considering the impressive line up of terrans SlayerS has.

really? My stream is ~40% volume and my system is at max, I can hear them perfectly (although ToD is a little quite but I think that might be the positioning of his mic). I'd rather them be too quite and be able to turn them up then have to turn them down.

yeah... but I don't mind the stream being quiet overall, bottom line is, please turn down ingame sounds or turn up caster volume!

He was 25 supply behind, maybe there was a drop in the main that was missed or he didnt make a lot of probes to begin with. Either way he was pretty behind.

I don't think Fnatic want this tournament to require KSL monthly subscription for HD.
Refreshing won't fix it though, because it's on the streaming side. Rather, the stream needs to fix it. On the bright side, 480p is almost perfect, everything is readable, so it's not a very big deal.

Hi, the games should start today around 11am KST (in about 2hours) if Khaldor gets here early enough, we will have Oz vs Ryung, then HerO vs BbongBbong, and at 1pm we start the quarter finals with aLive vs Leenock first.

HerO won 2-0. Missed the first game due to the NASTL finals, but the second game he won on Antiga holding his three base vs mass Muta/Ling with Stalker/Sentry into Storm, taking down B4's fourth while harassing third with Prism and just playing super solid.

Yeah those were the riskiest set of pvp I have ever seen. Only the first game was decided by decision making, with the next two being complete build order wins.

They are saying Oz is the best PvPer because if you look since Oz's entrance to the GSL in October 2011 he's gone 15-3 with only loss being bo1 or part of a series. He hasn't dropped a bo3+ in korea since then and has wins over Sage (3-1), Jyp, InCa (2-1), and Puzzle to name a few. Hero is definitely a very good PvPer though to be constantly competitive with Oz

it's funny but nothing worthwhile if your into learning. I found the stream a bit boring for my tastes, maybe I'm being pessimistic but there was a portions of just silence with no commentary and random questions that have nothing to do with the game answered in broken english. Maybe I just caught in on the stream at a bad time

I'm not concerned about the level of English from Leenock or Creator, I just think Wolf should lower his vocabulary so Creator feels comfortable and understands when he is casting with Creator and other koreans with little English.

Some koreans who have went to foreign tournements seems to figure out the importance of having basic english. It really helps getting fans in the foreign community

Yea, I know Violet lives in Texas. And to be fair I said "to name a few". But overall, most Koreans english are not so good. Think the ones who have travelled a lot has been forced to talk english have realized we are really patient(in lack for a better word) with their english and just appreciate their effort. We try our best to make them understand us and vice versa. And if Koreans pros has been talking to Foreign pros at events I think the Koreans learn the Foreign terms. Know Catz wrote in his blog about how Leenock tried to explain the units by using sounds and hand motions. But once he have learned it once he can talk about the unit enough for a period he would probably remember the word.

I agree, but Creator didn't.
Even MC and MKP at HSC were saying very little beyond "imba", I don't think that's an enjoyable situation to be in. But hey, if they offer themselves volunteer, I certainly don't know better.

Like he said he's very good at it but it's a very hard matchup to play, lots of multitasking and micro. Fungal and banelings can wipe out your army in seconds if you're not looking, same for zerg, get caught by a siege volley or miss a drop coming in and you can lose very, very fast.
Which is what makes it so entertaining to watch!

Yeah, pretty smart move. This is turning out pretty alright, given the slow start yesterday with ToD scrambling to find players. He was looking hella run down but it seems like today's going a lot more smoothly.

It's probably not the computer there - if there was a problem with it, they would see the lag themselves while observing.
It's probably something with own3D, because when it happens and you refresh the stream it gets better for a while.

feels like the lag is only when they are ingame. just a few minutes ago when the game wasn't open it didn't lag, now they opened it and it begun again.

- Seed only started his nexus after his attack failed and was only 17 probes ahead
- Mules are essentially +4 SCVs each, meaning the effective SCV count was 18, meaning seed was only 9 ahead
- Dual orbital means after 5 SCV production cycles he is even with Seed (effectively 28 workers after mules)

I think he was referring to  ByuL who played for Samsung last season (10-11 season) and did quite well with a 4-1 record. He is the guy in the bottom right of this pic.
