If we look at their major tournament records: White-Ra 3:2 Stephano at the Shoutcraft Invitational (yes, this is before IPL3 but it's not like Stephano doubled his skills right before IPL3) White-Ra 1:2 Stephano at MLG Orlando Open Bracket White-Ra 0:2 Stephano during the Sennheiser Cup White-Ra 1:0 Stephano during Go4SC2 http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/go4sc2/cup71/rankings/So those tournaments add up to White-Ra 5:6 Stephano. If you want recent results, White-Ra beat Stephano on ladder just this week: http://www.twitch.tv/whitera/b/310502208?t=53m40s. Well first of all, Stephano has never stopped improving. He has improved a lot since IPL3. And the Go4SC2 game you're talking about is about 14 months old.. About the game on ladder, that was a pretty close game on metalopolis, and it was close air position which is not even played anymore on tournaments.
Yeah, the Go4SC2 is pretty old. Probably shouldn't have put that. Close pos on Metalopolis does favor P a bit over Z but it certainly doesn't give White-Ra much of an advantage over Stephano.
Don't get me wrong, though. I think Stephano is the better and stronger player. Predicting Stephano 5-3.

White-Ra didn't look good vs Nerchio at IEM, so by all means Stephano should completely stomp him, but it's White-Ra, so you never know, he's ridiculously inconsistent but if he plays well, everything is possible. Still, anything better than a 5-2 or even 5-1 for Stephano would really surprise me. Of course, I hope it goes to nine games anyway.

White-Ra wasn't expecting to play at IEM so jetlag was probably a factor. I think he went 2-3 partly because of a lot of PvP. At SXSW both players will have jetlag. Hopefully the matches will still be good

Isn't this supposed to be on now?

Since this is showmatch designed to help promote SC2 to people not familiar to Esports, I just hope that there are some crazy games and it turns out to be close. It's also great that Whitera and Stephano both have pretty great personalities that can better draw in viewers.

I love White Ra, but this is going to be one-sided... Stephano is on fire and wont gett much of a fight from the mighty Ra.
Atleast its a showmatch, maybe Stephano will give him a chance but with $5,000 on the line I doubt it...

Hey all, just had a talk with Stephano and WhiteRa and they've agreed on a change to the map pool. They wanted to remove Darkness Falls and Atlantis Spaceship and wanted to add Metropolis and Cloud Kingdom, so we fine with that and we'll move forward with those changes.
Map Pool
Terminus SE Cloud Kingdom Sanshorn Mist Metropolis Shakuras Plateau Calm Before the Storm Shattered Temple Antiga Shipyard Daybreak Tal’Darim Altar
Game 1 will be on Daybreak, winner gets a veto and loser picks next map!

Stephano will trash White-Ra, but he'll give him a game or two so it doesn't look stupid. He knows what a showmatch is for. Betting on 3-2.

I doubt Stephano is out to give White-Ra a chance. He's lost to White-Ra before and ought to know that toying with a pro is unwise. If (when?) White-Ra wins a game, it probably won't be because Stephano went easy. After all, he's looking to make as much money as he can before he goes to college.

I want White Ra to win, but Stephano is too good. White-Ra should be able to take a game or two though...
5-2 Stephano.

intense! I want White-Ra to win, but I love Stephano!

I don't understand why people are saying stephano will just try to give a show, if not roll over white-ra. I know he's an excellent player and has a hype train a mile long, but White-Ra seems to shine in these types of situations, GSL Korea vs World anyone? Don't count White-Ra out.

A best of one PvP coinflip all in has very little to do with winning in a PvZ best of 9.
