White Ra is pretty good but Stephano is even better in my estimation. I think people are riding the stephano hype too hard. Great, great player? yes. The best foreigner? I think so. 5-0? I don't think so.

I do think that Stephano has a greater chance of winning, but White-Ra is more than capable of taking several maps and possibly the whole match. If we look at their major tournament records:

White-Ra 3:2 Stephano at the Shoutcraft Invitational (yes, this is before IPL3 but it's not like Stephano doubled his skills right before IPL3)
White-Ra 1:2 Stephano at MLG Orlando Open Bracket
White-Ra 0:2 Stephano during the Sennheiser Cup
White-Ra 1:0 Stephano during Go4SC2 http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/go4sc2/cup71/rankings/

So those tournaments add up to White-Ra 5:6 Stephano.
If you want recent results, White-Ra beat Stephano on ladder just this week: http://www.twitch.tv/whitera/b/310502208?t=53m40s.

Well first of all, Stephano has never stopped improving. He has improved a lot since IPL3. And the Go4SC2 game you're talking about is about 14 months old..

About the game on ladder, that was a pretty close game on metalopolis, and it was close air position which is not even played anymore on tournaments.

Difficult for White-Ra to perform his best when he flew from Germany and arrived only a little more than 15 hours before the match, judging from his twitter message. Stephano I don't know about.

I'm going to miss a night out that my social (no)life greatly deserves because I noticed that the match is going to be on in 3 hours. That's what those names do to a Starcraft fan.

The same applies to Stephano he tweeted:
"Landed yesterday in austin after a 22H trip. Couple of hours before I go to the event. Hope i'll be able to make give you a good show !"
about 2 hours ago. He also tweeted about movies to take 1:30AM yesterday (CET) so the earliest he could have arrived is something like 1-3AM CET which is now 18-20 hours ago and probably it was later unless he tweeted from the airport.

Looking forward to this match. Hoping for a competitive match, but expecting 5-1 or 5-2 beat down depending on how much Stephano will try to show off when he is very ahead.

It's only 4k for a winner...

Still, 5k is a fuckload of money for a showmatch. Too bad it's happening in America, most likely I am going to be asleep.

My thoughts on this: Stephano is the favorite due to his consistency, BUT, and that's a capital one, this is White-Ra we are talking. The one guy in the scene who talks sudden loses of lesser player but at the next event dismantles the fiercest Code S veterans in a storm of special taktikz!
It will all come down to White-Ra's current form I think.
What I'm saying is not that if he prepared well and is in good shape that he can, but WILL win this. Because he is White-Ra, and you never bet against White-Ra. Long time followers know what I'm talking about.

That's the beauty of this showmatch I think, the beauty of White-Ra in general, he makes for suspense just by showing up. Much love <3
I figured out the EG Curse. It was set in motion by Voodoo Shamans working for Millenium. Whenever EG aquires a player, Voodoo energies start slowly draining skill from the EG guy into an Millenium newcomer. Think about it!

I vehemently hate protoss, but I'm rooting for White-ra in this one, just because he is such an underdog.

And while I always root for Protoss and White-Ra is one of my favorites, I really like Stephano too. He is so talented and seems to have a good character.

White Ra is going to get completely and mercilessly rolled.

Stephano's ZvP is the strongest matchup of anyone versus anything outside of Korea and White Ra's PvZ is mid level at best.

5-0 Stephano.

I think White-Ra will make carriers in at least 1 game and get owned by mass corruptors.
I'm very good at making carriers.
