Foreigners tend to be more passive. Genius vs MC went into the macor game after a series of battles and back and forths. Even if all the macro pvp was this passive I would prefer it because it involved a ton of decision making and I like following when people expand, when they get their tech, etc.

Basically PvP is lose-lose; either someone wins a build order war or both players turtle forever. I guess you sometimes get blink stalker base trades, those are kind of cool, although very silly.

Part of the reason PvP is so volatile isn't just because of the build order roulette but also because so many of the games are decided by micro. Its a matchup that punishes tiny mistakes, and someone having an off day (not even an off day, just a moment of distraction) will lose the game in a way that seems convincing. Case in point, Oz getting 2-0d by Huk, yet you'd be hard pressed to find someone who actually thinks Huk is better at PvP than Oz.
