I guess BW is not as dead in Korea as the people on the SC2 forums will tell you it is. Also works. Just so happy that there are amazing games to watch all day on this beautiful Saturday. :D

I know LoL has the player numbers over most esports games (given their large more casual community), but have they ever had a strongly attended live audience? Genuinely curious, I don't follow LoL-esports but do play it casually.

Sc2 isn't as popular as League of legends, both internationally and in Korea, but it's not dying at all.

I heard that they were having a hard time making the OSL happen, but I haven't really kept up with the BW scene much. The setup for the finals tonight looks so sick.

So excited for this finals... first one I've stayed up for.

It's pretty logical that a more skill based games have less players.

It's pretty logical that a more skill based games have less players. Not at all. You have to spend a lot of time getting the chemistry between the team right, because that's what LoL is mostly dependent on. Mvp and other players aren't moving to LoL because the amount of money they gain from being at the top of Sc2 is worth more (same as why Flash wouldn't move to Sc2). It's also harder getting a team together in LoL, as you have to find four other members who each play a different role and are able to connect with oneanother well.

This video is pretty fun to watch. Shows DRG and Genius clowning each other a few times. Makes it hard not to like them after watching it.

As I said, don't know much about LOL.... but isn't a game that would reward hand-speed, multi-tasking and quick decision making?
