White-Ra had no units. When you take a third you need to make a lot of units. That was way too greedy by White-Ra.

So if you lose to a counter baneling bust, you aren't getting owned, you're instead deserving a win? Polt was denying all creepspread and had full map control, the fact that Violet got that counter baneling bust off says a lot more about Polts play than it does Violets, and once that bust was completed, Violet was completely in control and looked unstoppable.

I saw nothing in those games indicating Polt deserved the win more, other than Violet making a really surprising mistake and getting tilted hardcore. With all the games where Polt actually does 100% derserve the win, I'd say this is a pretty bad series to bring it up.

Sorry, no one is entitled to anything in competition. Violet had a good army in Game 2 but couldn't manuever it correctly, and he choked in the clutch. Then Game 3 comes up and he chokes again with an ill-advised baneling bust. He didn't deserve to win the series with such terrible mistakes. Funny how you only hear this stuff from people who don't compete in anything.

Nor did I say Violet deserved the win, I'm saying it's dumb to say it was "well deserved" for Polt when he won because of Violet making massive mistakes. It's like saying it's a well deserved win if a bronze league player wins against Stephano because Stephano is disconnected from the game.

Being disconnected from the game is a factor that is out of Stephano's control. Moving your broodlords around competently and not cracking under pressure is a factor Violet can perfectly control. Polt is better than Violet. Fail analogy is fail.

You can't seriously be making the case that violet lost because of his broodlord control? It was literally up to forgetting to build extractors. That's literally all it took, he would have won easily if he just put those extractors down.

Polt being a better player than Violet doesn't mean his win in this series was well deserved.

Well, let's see. Violet moves out with his entire army and plows through all of Polt's bases and production, while Polt decides to counterattack and kill all of Violet's bases and production. Since Violet's army is on the other side of the map, he cannot do anything about it (plus being supply-blocked). He has his entire army spread out across one side of the map and does not focus on killing the bases + SCVs, allowing Polt to constantly build more stuff whenever he fails to hold a position. Even if he builds extractors he would still have a slow army that relies on synergy to be effective, so he cannot split his army to deal with the small groups of marines.

A basketball player can have good handles, a quick first step, great court vision,and great body control. But if he can't finish at the basket then he is not going to score, no matter how athletic and intelligent he is. It doesn't matter if he can blow past the hedge or post up effectively on his defender, whether the guy guarding him can't move well to his left or defensively finish. The guy who deserves the win is the one who can perform in the clutch, and Polt well-deserves it.
