I think most of the drama in this tournament will occur in the group stage. Supernova is the heavy favorite, but his groupmates are 3 of the better players in the pool so IF supernova were to be upset, it would be in the group stages. Ret is also on upset alert because ZvZ is still ZvZ, volatile as hell if your name isn't Nestea.

Group D is all ZvZ? Well Ret did demolish Slivko recently in the MLG qualifiers so that seems like an autowin for him.

I think Snute will give him a hard time, his ZvZ is very smart. While streaming he played Ret on Antiga a few weeks ago, and won. Ret will still probably take it, but it won't be a walkover.

Looking forward to see who will be at the venue watching the games, I feel like most people there don't really understand the game and will just be there to check out what it is all about. It's really sad that such a huge tournament like IEM is being held in São Paulo and most people at the event won't even know what StaCraft is and will not understand that much of what is going on as most of them don't speak english and will rely on the amateur brazilian casters to learn anything from the game.I Wish I could be at São Paulo supporting e-sports in my country and spreading the word about how awesome StarCraft and its pro scene are.

DarkForce said in his interview that he prepared specifically for Illusion and given that this is Illusion's first streamed offline event since really breaking onto the scene at MLG I think it may be tough for him. He does like bunker pressure, even off 1 rax, and this outright kills people often sometimes.

We are on our own link. The players are actually playing some MLG qualifiers from here, so everything's fine.

TL Calendar says this starts in ~6 and a half hours, which would be 5:00 EST.

This thread says 8:00 EST.

Tried to look through the points rankings and all that...

It seems like if DeMu gets any Top 4 finish he will definitely be going to the World Championships along with his team mates PuMa, JYP and IdrA... go big or go home DeMu!!! (Seems confident in his interview anyway!)
