Seems like Nightend is demanding a regame right now for the last map against Zenio because he feels like the massive lag in the big engagement decided the game in Zenios favor.

Well, it looked kind of like that when he focussed the Broodlords and targeted the Lings while it lagged...
Zenio needs to agree though and obviously he won't do that...

The lag has been really bad the whole day and for example Nightend didn't go though his group because of it. All his haters are mad as fuck right now because they got so happy when he said he would forfeit

Did he say the bolded part verbatim? The only source I seen was the twitter from IEM..

Well, it's not recorded anywhere but IEM can't just have written it out of nowhere. RotterdaM also said that he heard Naniwa saying he'd forfeit so he ran to him and talked some sense to him or something like that

Yes, but if he said "I am so [expletive] mad at these computers and I won't be playing unless they get fixed"; then it is a conditional statement and not an outright "I forfeit".

What constitutes a forfeit really? A verbal one (unless it is a part of a dialogue where the organizer prompts the player if he really wants to forfeit) seems rather thin when I think about it. A no show is a forfeit, otherwise I think it should be written down...

Why?? if the technik isn't working like it should??
How can you deliver a show if the equipment doesn't work?
Its like kicking a Formula One driver cause his car didn't start.
Do you belive: show > all??

Woohoo, some players lose when the games are broken due to lag, Kas wins everything despite a broken leg.

I am not sure we understand eachother.
The whole question was: did Naniwa "really" forfeit? It seems no. And then I tried to raise the question what the rules should be surrounding a forfeit, especially since misunderstanding could arise from ambiguous language. What constitutes "really"?

So only Nightend was affected by lag? Zenio didn't have any trouble controlling his units? Is it because he didn't complain, that people assume this is so?

If you watched the game you could obviously see that Nightend could have won mutilple times if he wasn't afraid of losing everything to lag

What does a broken leg have to do with playing SC2?

And I'm gonna lol when Kas doesn't win.

Sure doesn't sound biased at all lol

Do I have some sort of obligation to not be biased?

Am I saying that?

No am I saying that you were saying that?

LOLS, what?

I think he's implying your bias clouds belieavability of what you said and reading that, it's definitely hard to trust the way you word it.

You have no obligation to not be bias, but showing such blatant bias means we just don't trust your version of events.

Am I required to want you to trust my version of events?

imo it's bad to leave the decision on the player. IEM should decide it and not Zenio, because when Zenio says no, which would be totally understandable, he will look like the bad/unsportsmanlike guy.

There needs to be some kind of industry standard way to deal with this, that the pros know before they go into a game.

Grubby in retrospect it seems could have asked for, and got a regame in his game, instead he lost, and his complaints were reduced in scope to a 'I register my displeasure' kind of statement.

Nightend got hamstrung more by that lag spike than Zenio, as the onus is on the Protoss player to target fire and control that composition, more so than the Zerg is. Still don't think a regame is fair on Zenio though.

A friend of mine played Fifa with the steering wheel. Maybe Kas is using pedals and manual shift.

uh

nightend could have won earlier when it wasnt lagging. the lag had nothing to do with nightend playing ultra safe because it was game 3. he could have a-moved after he killed every infestor and laughed, but he didnt.

the lag in the battle is not conclusive to me imo, for a regame. we'll see what zenio says though... zenio was insta remaxing with a 4k/4k bank while nightend was at like 600/1-2k or something.
