wow.
i mean this with respect, because i suck at this game compared to any korean pros - however does anyone else get the feeling game 1 of this series was by far the lowest skill game i've seen in pro sc2 in a long time? seemed like both players were trying to out-do the other with horrible decisions.
very wonky game!

Give it a chance, only the first game.

rather sloppy from both.
This game had nothing to do with the 8-gate. After the roach/ling pressure in the beginning Curious had 21 drones while Oz had 36 probes....

Only the first game of the group, there was some pretty lackluster games in the other groups.

I don't agree. Oz built so many cannons it evened out. Curious was ahead when Oz hit his third but Curious got caught out of position completely.

5 cannons is not worth anywhere near as much as 15 workers which is how far Curious was behind.

very wonky game! no. But by Code S standards it was quite low quality. Enjoyable enough to watch though with the continuous pressure from Oz

stargate -> 8gate -> robo and blink
Curious caught up fine on workers (while Oz delayed everything by building about 5-6 cannons) and had a comparable army, he did the right thing to sac his third but then went wandering around the map with his roaches which caused him to lose all his drones defending at his nat =/

i understand what you mean but technically 5 cannons is worth exactly 15 workers

There's been way worse games than that (Tod vs Happy Dreamhack Winter). The only massively bad decision was Curious going all in.
