plus this is an online event so they SHOULD play without much nerve issues than on stage... maybe the prize pool is not big enough so they don't have much incentive?

Prize pool is relatively small (in comparison to the up and coming GSL) Relatively little renown for winning such a tournament (in comparison to the up and coming GSL) They have to practice (for the up and coming GSL) GSL ^_^ Then again that last point may not be very relevant because these are replays and MKP is flying to Germany today, so who knows how far in advance these games were actually played and they may have had ample practice time. /shrug

I wouldn't go as far as saying not trying to win, but it was frustrating to watch MKP's play in particular. It almost looked like he just wanted to end the games as soon as possible regardless of the outcome. This is really the fault of current meta game situation.

His drops were very good, he was always picking up units before they died and since we all know he has amazing macro, it finally looks like his decision making is on a higher level. I'm not so sure if we were seeing a bad Leenock or a really good TOP. Thoughts? Leenock didn't play at his best, but I think TOP played really well and really deserved the win. Oh, and I really loved MKP managing to get second place in the group! ![]()
